A Massachusetts man has gone viral after he crashed his Cadillac CTS into a liquor store before drinking a beer and smoking a cigar whilst waiting for the police to arrive.
The suspect, 54-year-old John Bacigalupo of Revere, Mass., crashed a third-generation Cadillac CTS into the front of the aptly named Rapid Liquors store in Stoneham, Mass. at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. The suspect then hung around at the scene of the crash for some time, helping himself to a beer, a cigar and a bag of potato chips.
Stoneham Police were originally called to the store after the burglar alarm went off. When they entered the store, they found a Cadillac CTS up on the curb nosed in toward a broken window, with Bacigalupo standing near the cash register indulging in a beer, cigar and a bag of potato chips he had stolen. The suspect then told police “that they needed to shoot him while motioning behind his back to his waistline,” the cops said.

Bacigalupo was apprehended ater a brief struggle that saw responding officers deploy a taser. He faces a variety of charges for his little stunt, including breaking and entering, assault and battery on a police officer, larceny under $1,200, and resisting arrest, according to Boston CBS affiliate WBZ4. Bacigalupo was held on a $100,000 bond and was later arraigned in Woburn District Court on Monday, January 10th.

Rapid Liquors owner Doug Shahian said he was shocked to see someone in his store when he viewed his security camera feed remotely.
“It was surreal,” the store owner told The Boston Globe. “I didn’t really believe my eyes when I turned on the cameras overnight and saw the gentleman shopping for beer and smoking a cigar down at the store.”
Interestingly, Bacigalupo was convicted in 2001 of murdering a mob enforcer in nearby Saugus, Mass. and attempting to kill two other members of an organized crime syndicate at a hotel in Revere. The conviction was overturned in 2009 after a witness testification was found to have violated his constitutional rights.

I guess I’m lucky. I’ve never wanted a drink THAT badly.
I sometimes wonder how someone like that manages to get a CTS. They had to have displayed a certain level of character and responsibility to be able to procure the car and drive it, but then one night all of that goes out the window and he finds himself fighting cops after unlawfully devouring chips and beer post-accident.
He was paid well by the state for violating his CR. Sorry about the CR for the 3 dead mobsters tho.Who says Amerika is not the land of opportunity? From jailed for 3 murders to a free man to driving a nice Cadillac in only 13 lucky years!
Crazy event, and laudable reaction with humour from the store owner.
Any Steely Dans fans out there?
Daddy don’t drive in that Eldorado no more
He don’t travel on down to the neighborhood liquor store.

He’s from Revere. Unless you’ve been to Revere then you would not understand anything about how all that works. Those guys usually drive Black Escalades. Wouldn’t be seen in a Tahoe😎
Is this crap really worthy of being in a newsletter?
Smash, Grab and Run is legal nowadays. He just forgot the run part.
