Hot Wheels will open up the order books for its limited-edition Red Line Club 1968 Corvette Custom this week.
The Hot Wheels Red Line Club, for the uninitiated, is a members-only group of Hot Wheels enthusiasts that have access to exclusive Hot Wheels items, priority access to sales, and access to a members-only forum on the Hot Wheels website. This unique 1968 Corvette Custom diecast will launch on February 1st for Hot Wheels Redline Club members only, joining previous Chevy Redline Club models like the 1969 C10 pickup and 1969 Camaro SS that we wrote about previously.
The 1968 Corvette Custom diecast is a modified take on the iconic C3 Corvette Stingray, which features a unique front fascia treatment, a Spectraflame True Black body with red decals, Neo-Classics Hot Wheels Redline wheels, light smoke-tinted windows and a chromed 327 cubic inch Small Block V8 engine. Other features include ‘Stingray’ body side decals, a vintage black and yellow Michigan license plate that reads ‘STNGR’ and a red-painted steering wheel.
In order to buy the new Redline Club 1968 Corvette Custom diecast, Hot Wheels fans must pay a $9.99 fee for a one-year Red Line Club membership. This does not include the price of the diecast itself, which has not yet been confirmed as of this writing. Redline Club diecasts usually sell for $24.99 via the Hot Wheels online shop before taxes and shipping, however. The Matell-owned company will begin accepting pre-orders for the 1968 Corvette Custom on February 1st, 2022.
