Texas-based tuning company Hennessey Performance Engineering has shared a video showing an excited customer taking delivery of his freshly-upgraded Cadillac Escalade.
This customer took his fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade Sport to Hennessey Performance Engineering so it could install its mid-grade HPE650 upgrade package. This upgrade kit boosts the output of the Escalade’s stock naturally aspirated 6.2L L87 V8 engine from 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque to 650 horsepower and 658 pound-feet of torque.
Upgrades included in the HPE650 package include a 2.9-liter supercharger and high-flow intercooler, chromoly pushrods, revised crankcase ventilation, a full stainless steel exhaust and an aftermarket air intake. HPE also installs its own engine management tune and conducts a dyno test with tuning before delivery. Completing the package is a serial numbered engine bay plaque to certify it as an official Hennessey product, along with Hennessey embroidered seat headrests.
The customer in this video seems pleased with the performance of his Cadillac Escalade, saying that it reminds him of his Chevy Camaro ZL1 – only with seven seats and enough cargo space for a weekend at the cottage or the ski lodge. He was also happy with the Borla exhaust, saying that it improves the sound of the 6.2L L87 V8 without causing cabin drone, allowing him to talk on his phone via Bluetooth at a regular volume. “Fantastic,” the customer quips after getting out of the SUV, “it’s exactly what I wanted.”
Hennessey tuning packages are back by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first), giving customers a bit more peace of mind when upgrading the engine on their new vehicle.

Hennessey makes some crazy high powered vehicles, but I could never trust john after what he has done to people in the past. He did a good number of people dirty in the viper days.
The only way I would trust him is if I lived close to his plant in Texas where I could go up there frequently. Unless you are some celebrity or so called influencer you might get screwed which is unfortunate.
what does this conversion cost vs the rumered BLACKWING ESCALADE
Go to the hennessey website all the prices are there
Back in 2016 the upgrade was $50k so I’m sure it’s more then that now. That’s also as long as you supply the vehicle.
