Chevrolet Colombia Sales Down 3 Percent In November 2021

Chevrolet Colombia sales decreased 3 percent to 3,250 units in November 2021. The figures rank GM as the second largest car manufacturer in the country, while Chevrolet finished the month as the second best-selling automobile brand, behind Renault.

Colombian auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Chevy model sales performance was as follows:

In addition to the models specified, Chevrolet also markets the following vehicles in Colombia:

The GM Authority Take

Chevrolet Colombia sales decreased again in November, further deepening the brand’s negative performance in the South American country. With November’s results, Chevrolet has accumulated five consecutive months of decreased sales in Colombia.

Notably, the Chevy Onix regained its position as Colombia’s best-selling automobile in November with a total of 1,350 units. That figure includes registrations for the Joy, a rebadged first-generation Onix. The nameplate is also the most popular during the first 11 months of the year. This achievement is the result of much-improved inventory of the popular subcompact car after production restarted in Brazil.

In addition, the results also show a substantial, triple-digit increase in Chevy Tracker sales. Similar to the Onix, sales of the Tracker small crossover also increased due to healthier inventory in Colombia.
