General Motors has confirmed Canadian pricing for the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV following its official debut during CES 2022 this week.
Prices for the Chevy Silverado EV will start at $54,398 in Canada for the fleet-focused WT trim level, including a $1,950 destination freight charge. Meanwhile, the loaded Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition will start at $121,898 with the destination freight charge.
For reference, U.S. pricing for the Chevy Silverado EV in the WT trim will start at $41,595 including destination and freight charges, while the loaded-up Chevy Silverado EV RST First Edition starts at $106,695 with destination fees.
In Canada, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV will be identically equipped to the model that will be sold in the United States. For the WT trim level, that means a dual-motor e4WD setup delivering 510 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque, along with a 24-mobile Ultium battery pack providing up to 400 miles (or 640 kilometers) of range. The RST First Edition, meanwhile, will come with a more powerful dual-motor setup producing more than 660 horsepower and 780 pound-feet of torque, enabling a zero to 60 mph time of roughly 4.5 seconds. The RST First Edition features the same 24-module Ultium battery pack and is also rated at a GM-estimated 400 miles of range.
The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV will be available in limited quantities in Canada starting in the spring of 2023. The WT trim will launch first for fleet customers in the country, with the consumer-focused RST First Edition set to arrive in the fall of 2023. Reservations for the Silverado EV RST First Edition opened up on Chevrolet.ca this week, but as we recently reported, all available reservation slots for North America were filled within 12 minutes.
GM will eventually offer more Chevy Silverado EV trims in both the U.S. and Canada, including an off-road-focused Trail Boss model. For now, though, the lineup is limited to the WT and RST First Edition.

That’s brutal! Not much more to go to a Hummer. Man we get screwed up here on price. Ugh….
When does the Suburban EV debut? Seems like a simple transition for the engineers and designers.
Since this is not a truck to start with, just extend that ridiculously gigantic cab a bit more and voila… a Suburban! You might even have to shorten the cab to make it a Tahoe 🤣
To put it in perspective, the 2022 2.7L WT is $45,000 in Canadian dollars ($48,000 for the V8), destination included. So the EV WT is 6k-9k more.
Someone tell us how far it can tow a 5000lb travel trailer!
The price seems in line. My GMC Denali 1500 was $90,000 CND. The end result is no fuel bill or oil changes.
Nope, just a $1000/month electric bill now
try about 5-$10 per recharge depending where you live in Canada if you recharge at home.
if you drive 2000km per month it might cost you $40/ month vs about $500 / month for gas in the near future.
Let’s figure this in the equation there is no infrastructure that can support all these electrical vehicles to recharge them all and by the way how much will it cost to replace the batteries when the crap out . W e are not there yet .
That’s even more than it will be here!
This is just a ridiculously priced Avalanche without the bed covers. Having owned a couple, I would not spend 107K for an EV version. However, I’m sure someone will.
Canadians have to add about $20.000 to that sticker price. I paid over $100,000 for my 2021 SLT Dually with tax. The comment about no more gas, the companies who operated the chargers are saying the price to charge will START at $24,00 per hour. Did anybody honestly believe they will be providing electricity for “FREE”! NOT A CHANCE! Fortunately my 2021 will probably live longer than I will.
having said that, yesterday the price of diesel in Vancouver BC was 1.78 per liter. /$7.12 a Gallon! Highway robbery!
You think it will last! Not with the junk lifters they are putting in the gasser’s. Sad,sad…
Even if it was 30 an hour and it takes 2 hours to charge how many people drive 500km a week which is about what you get. So $60 a week and $240 month is a lot better than my sierra at $175 to fill at $1.71 and that last about 5 days. Gas is low now in Vancouver but for 6 months a year it’s easily atleast $2.30. If I can save $500 a month that’s pretty good
Good luck the average American will not be able to afford that. Most people today can’t afford new car. All about the money when it needs to be repaired probably cheaper to buy a new one.
Looks like a streamlined ish version of my 04 Avalanche. But how far and at what cost will it go up hill into the wind hauling a load with the heater(s) on. Plus how long will I have to park at Timmies or Starbucks to recharge it ? Just wondering .
I think for what you are getting for the price it is worth it. This is a top of the line truck. Super cruise four wheel steering… watch the you tube video on this vehicle. Have you priced a Tesla ? If you haven’t do so. You will find this vehicle is worth it.
So let me get this straight. I should compare the very pricey pickup to the very over priced Tesla? That’s like comparing the taste and texture of raw chicken to slow smoked ribs. Both will fill you… One may kill you now, the other will, eventually. Ever wonder why items (cars, boats, motors, tv s etc) have different prices in different countries ? It’s based on what That market will bear. Not just the cost to produce or ship. Not to mention New technology always cost more when new. Do you remember the pocket calculator $100 when introduced and $10 soon thereafter. Plus I’m still holding off until coffee shops put in charging stations.
Ok Dave Baker, compare the Silverado E to the Rivian RT1 pick up. The Rivian starts at 99,000 CND plus you can up grade to a higher trim model by adding $14,000 CND. So now you decide. The Silverado is a much better truck.
With the Generals present track record I would hardly Ever consider an option that included that same General. I’ll wait until the European and Asian perfect it. Then no doubt the Gen will copy and “paste”. You can go do what pleases You.
$1000/ power bill ? Wouldn’t surprise me. Once the Gov. starts to see the loss of fuel tax revenue.
When they stop or drastically reduce selling gas,
The roads need to be payed for. All that gas tax is gone.
If anyone thinks it’s going to cost 50 bucks a month to charge in the near future are delusional.
There will be one hell of a tax or hydro charge coming.
Gas/Diesel is the way to go for quite some time still
PLS NOT TOO EXPENSIVE OK
So… you say in 2024 to fully charge an EV the cost will be $5/$10 each time. But once the Gov. is Not getting all those tax dollars raised by fuel tax what do you think will happen ? Don’t you think the various levels of Gov. that depend on that revenue will find a way to claw it back ? Re an extra charge to recharge. Whether it’s at point of EV sale or and extra meter , you’ve got to know they will find a way to replace those tax dollars.
Where’s the chrome? They expect six figures for what looks like a base truck? I bet it has hard and tiny, girlie seats too like all the GM trucks from the last several years. What a poorly managed company they have become. I won’t be buying one of these

Replying to your own post with the same post? Anyhow, chrome is not popular anymore, sure some have it like the “high country” but let’s get real here, we are not in 2001.
And if you feel the current Silverado seats are “tiny”, I beg you to crack open a tape measure, the issue may be elsewhere.
Lastly, don’t buy one. Congrats.
Gas vehicles will be phasing out over the next 20 years and EV rapid charge stations will be ramping up. Businesses and gas stations will want people charging/shopping for the 20 minutes it takes for a rapid charge to 80% for many of the next gen EVs. We are looking at getting a RV, and even with a 50% reduction in distance, it is way cheaper than a gas guzzler one ton.
The Silverado wins the beauty contest also over the Ford Lightning, Rivian and the Hummer. Great tailgate and midgate options and tow capacity. I am putting my name down for one and plan to own it for at least 10 years. Hope the battery lasts.
