A new limited-edition 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition model variant has potentially leaked online after a sharp-eyed Corvette fan found images of the vehicle hidden away in the online configurator tool.
A Corvette forum user shared a post this week titled ‘Corvette’s 70th Anniversary Edition Z06 Revealed’, which contained images and a description of the alleged new model variant that they found in Chevy’s 3D visualizer tool.
According to the post, the 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition will be available in two exterior color combinations: White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat with optional Satin Matrix Gray Stripes or Carbon Flash Metallic with optional Satin Black Metallic Stripes. All examples will also feature Edge Red brake calipers, special 70th Anniversary Wheel Center Caps, Carbon Flash painted wheels with Edge Red accent stripes and Carbon Flash painted mirrors.
Inside, these specially-prepared Vettes will come with White Ceramic upholstered GT2 seats with contrasting red accent stitching, red seat belts, a suede steering wheel, 70th Anniversary sill plates and 70th Anniversary logos stitched into the headrests. Completing the package is an Edge Red engine cover, a rear bumper protector/trunk cover and a custom luggage set with red stitching and 70th Anniversary logos.
Technical details on this alleged future model variant are not available, although it seems likely it will feature the same naturally aspirated 5.5L LT6 V8 engine as the standard C8 Corvette Z06, which produces 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. These leaked images also show the vehicle equipped with the Z07 Performance Package, which adds larger carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires, FE7 suspension with specially tuned Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 dampers and a full carbon fiber aero package that produces 734 pounds of downforce at 186 mph.
Curiously, the 2023 Corvette Z06 visualizer tool has been taken offline, with the link now taking users to a General Motors landing page that requires employee login information to access. This lends some credibility to the rumors this apparent leak was pulled from the visualizer tool.

70th anniversary, this makes most Vette buyers young at heart….😉🙃🙂
Even comes standard with vinyl seats and a built in easy to clean diaper.
Negative comment from an Obviously broken, bitter, defeated man.
You couldn’t come up with anything better then that?
That guy is a troll just ignore him. He insulted another commenter on another article.
What about the Stingray?
It got the imsa package, so now the z06 gets to have a special z06
Would like information on the Stingray.
This looks awesome! Would love to see it happen for real!
The C8 and COVID -19 have been around about the same amount of time – yet the C8 now has more variants.
Owned many Vettes none with stripes of any kind, I think it cheapens the look. To each their own though.
Back in the day, I believe most stripes were paint. Nowadays, they’re all vinyl (or something similar). I’d be concerned that they will not stand up as well to UV over time. Can anyone comment based on actual experience.
Also, if you want to remove applique stripes after years of exposure will they come off clean – and – will the paint underneath be a different color having had no UV exposure.
Ford will still hand paint stripes for you on the GT500 for an additional $10k
Looks just like the C6 427 convertible. What a unique car….
Love the C8 Z06, loved my C5 Z06, but this is click bait for those who don’t want to drive a car, but have it to look at. Imagine the markup on these…
The Corvette Team has another “Winner” on their hands, but….hoo boy, it’ll be limited production and that means an even higher “dealer markup” than the regular Stingray, including special editions of the Base C8. Oh well, as a Corvette owner (have been since high school & college!) I can only wait like everyone else to actually see one of these Z06’s up close and personal like. Here in good old “SoCal” I’m sure they’ll be showing up at a Cars & Coffee events and Cruise Nites just as soon as they’re delivered to those lucky dealers and even luckier future owners through out the Southland. Anyone care to want to wager how huge the “dealer mark up’s” will be? Go ahead, take a wild guess…it’ll be a “cluster uh, well you know” by the dealers and even crazier when those really wealthy “Car Collectors” get a hold of these special Z06’s! It’ll be entertaining if nothing else, so watch for them at Mecum and Barrett Jackson auctions in the not too distant future.
In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the Corvette I’ve got in my garage and remember to always “Keep The Faith” in this amazing “Made In The USA” All American Sports Car. God Bless The USA and General Motors for delivering as promised!
ITS LIVE on the configurator!
