The 2023 Buick Envision will drop two previously available paint colors, GM Authority can confirm.
Both the Satin Steel Metallic (paint code GIR) and Burnished Bronze Metallic (paint code GR8) will be removed from the Buick Envision order books for the 2023 model year. It’s currently not clear if either of these colors will be indirectly replaced by new exterior paint options, although it seems likely.
For the 2022 model year, the Buick Envision offered seven total exterior color options, including a new-for-2022 Sapphire Metallic hue. Here’s a full rundown of the exterior colors that were offered on the 2022 Buick Envision:
- Rich Garnet Metallic
- Summit White
- Ebony Twilight Metallic
- Cinnabar Metallic
- Sapphire Metallic
- Satin Steel Metallic
- Burnished Bronze Metallic
The 2023 Buick Envision represents the third model year of the second generation of the crossover. Seeing as the all-new, second-generation Buick Envision was only introduced for the 2021 model year, we expect only minor changes to be applied to the vehicle for 2023. As a result, the crossover will continue to come equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The four-cylinder is paired with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to either the front wheels as standard, or all four wheels as an available option.
We expect more information on the changes that will be applied to the 2023 Buick Envision, along with pricing and availability, to come to light as its launch date later this year approaches. Prices for the 2022 Buick Envision start at $32,695 for the entry-level Preferred trim level with FWD.
The Buick Envision is produced exclusively at the GM Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, China.

Please GM, a green color! The Sage metallic from the Enclave will due perfectly, or perhaps the dark green from the late 20teens. Thanks!
2023 Envision 2022’s barely in US. Coming to your favorite Chinese city soon.
I LOVED the bronze-copper color. But I was also wanting adaptive cruise control, and that was only available on the top-end model (which didn’t have the bronze paint option.)
In the end, I got a gold Sorento.
A gun metal blue would be nice, not a sapphire blue
