Refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado Has Up To Four Display Screens: Video

The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will be available with up to four interior display screens in certain high-end trim levels.

Certain refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 trim levels will be available to order with the Multicolor 15-inch Diagonal Head-Up Display (RPO code UV6) as well as the Rear Camera Mirror (RPO DRZ) as part of the Technology Package (RPO CWM). These trucks would also feature the 12.3-inch Driver Information Center (RPO UDV) along with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system with a 13.4-inch touchscreen, both of which are standard on LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LTZ and High Country trim levels.

With all of the above-mentioned features equipped, the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 would boast a total of four display screens between the driver’s display, infotainment display, HUD and camera mirror. The Technology Package can only be applied to the LTZ, High Country and ZR2, so these are the only trim levels that can be equipped with all four of the display screens mentioned here.

Meanwhile, the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 in the WT, Custom and Custom Trail Boss trim levels will come with the carryover Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system (RPO IOR) and a 7-inch touchscreen, instead of the larger 13.4-inch display.

The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup made its debut on September 9th, introducing new exterior styling, a heavily revamped cabin and a revised powertrain lineup. Cosmetic changes include restyled front and rear fascias with different LED headlamps and taillights, new alloy wheel options and three new body colors: Dark Ash, Sand Dune, and Glacier Blue Metallic.

The overhauled cabin, which can be found on LT trim levels and up, features more up-to-date styling and premium materials, along with the optional aforementioned 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.4-inch center infotainment screens – the latter of which is one of the biggest screens in its class. The Chevy Safety Assist suite of active safety technology will also be standard on all trim levels, while the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver-assist system will be available on the range-topping High Country only.

Powertrain options include the turbocharged 2.7L L3B I-4, naturally aspirated 5.3L L84 V8, 3.0L LM2 I-6 turbodiesel Duramax and naturally aspirated 6.2L L87 V8. Here are more details about engine availability in the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado. Similarly, here’s a clearer picture of the refreshed Silverado’s launch timeline, which GM reworked due to the introduction of the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado Limited stopgap model.

  1. Refreshing to see dashes with landscape displays instead of portrait.

  2. When are they gonna fix that ugly grill? It needs an emergency refresh like they did with the Camaro.

    1. Then don’t buy it. When the previous Silverado showed face no one liked it, but they got used to it and it sold very well

    2. I think the grille looks great. I am glad they didn’t go with that cow catcher look like the Tundra.

    3. Chevy lower trim grilles always leave something to be desired IMO. Case in point: Current model HDs have the terrible plastic and C H E V R O L E T across the front, but the High Country’s horizontal chrome bars just look so much better.

  3. How do you order the interior as shown in the first picture above? The picture with the column shift and the front middle jump seat. The console shifter has no appeal for me. It takes up space I could use. I’d like to see a video of that interior as good as the video of the interior with the console shifter. I’d like to see what the differences are in the way of console storage. Anyone have a link that shows that?

    2. Only models ordered with the bucket seats have the console shifter. The LT can be ordered with the split bench which still has the column shifter.

    1. Go to your dealer and order exactly what you want. Problem solved.

    2. Yup what GMC fan said. You will likely have to wait a little bit until you dealer gets the allocation for your order, but that’s the environment we’re in right now.

    3. Global shortage ongoing since the beginning of the pandemic. We won’t see vehicles at dealerships like we used to for probably many other years to come. +1, if you want a vehicle, you will have to order one and wait to get it (several weeks or months).

      1. Absolutely the best looking trucks. The refresh has made the Chevy better looking than the GMC. Love the grill. Didn’t when it first came out. Got used to it. Love it now. In terms of style, ergonomics and quality of materials, I personally think GM is way ahead of Ford or Ram.

  5. Least important part of a truck for me is the screen.

  6. I would like to order a 2022 Facelift LTZ but I am concerned about the 6.2 lifter failure rate. Has this been fixed?
