Prices for the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will start at $33,195 including destination and freight charges for the entry-level Work Truck trim level, GM Authority can confirm.
The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 in the Work Truck trim level will be priced from $31,500 plus an additional $1,695 DFC for a total pre-tax MSRP of $33,195. The Work Truck, Custom and Custom Trail Boss variants won’t receive the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500’s redesigned interior and will instead feature the same interior as the 2022 Chevy Silverado Limited.
Prices for the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado in the Custom trim level will start at $40,195 with DFC, while LT is priced from $44,295. Prices for the Custom Trail Boss will start at $47,895 with the LT Trail Boss slightly more expensive at $53,695. The High Country will start at $58,495.
Finally, there’s the range-topping 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2. This off-road-focused trim level will start at $66,795 with DFC, as GM Authority exclusively reported earlier this month. This price puts the Silverado ZR2 directly in the crosshairs of its main rival, the Ford F-150 Raptor, which is priced from $65,840 with DFC.

Not surprisingly, the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 is slightly more expensive than the 2022 Chevy Silverado Limited – which serves as a stop-gap model until the refreshed model enters production early next year. For example, the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited in the Work Truck trim starts at $32,905 with DFC, while the Custom starts from $39,295 with DFC. GM Authority provided a complete pricing breakdown for the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited in a separate article.
GM Authority also outlined Chevy’s internal timeline for the refreshed 2022 Silverado launch schedule back in November. In that article, we indicated the online configurator tool would go live with pricing on January 5th, 2022, with production of Regular Cab and Crew Cab models set to begin shortly after on February 7th, 2022. Production of Double Cab models is expected to begin shortly after on March 6th, 2022.
The refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 debuted in September, introducing revised exterior styling to the nameplate, along with an all-new interior, a wealth of cutting-edge technology, and the addition of the aforementioned ZR2 trim level. It also marks the return of the Regular Cab, Standard Box configuration in the U.S. and Canada.

Can’t wait to put my order in for Reg.Cab Short Box. Can’t decide on standard turbo 4 or V8..Any suggestions from fellow readers
The Turbo 4 doesn’t have blowing up lifters and has much more torque for towing.
You don’t want the turbo 4 unless your looking to save money up front. It’s the base engine. It’s going to be gutless towing as the torque is all down low. When you put a 7000lb trailer on a hill, you need power not torque. The 2.7 will have to rev all the way up to 5000 rpms anyways….. past 3500 rpms the 5.3 will be superior in torque. The 5.3 will also have more power on tap as it makes 15% more power. The only place the turbo 4 will be more comfortable will be during cruising, where it will cruise at maybe 300 rpms lower than the 5.3…. and guzzling has the whole way. Stick with the V8.
Incorrect
The current 4cyl is already excellent and gets a 100lbft bump. Unless you’re buying a truck strictly for pulling or have to have V8 sound, the 4cyl is great.
All rcsb trucks will be four cylinders. The general made your choice easy for you

Yeah they are. The Fords just aren’t as cool in my opinion. GM is dropping the ball here not offering the V8 or a nicer trim. A 5.3 RST would be perfect.

There is nothing sweeter that a naturally aspirated V8 in a truck. You won’t be disappointed.
I’m a loyal Chevy guy, but I would not touch the V8’s till gm comes clean on their lifter problem.

Nice to read of Chevy trucks new and old of the times of changes of engines of the time frame of then till now .
I own a 1996 s10 Cheverolet truck LS 3 door has 204000 miles on it 4.3 rebuilt engine in 2015 have replaced parts as they wear out but is my baby.
Plus 2009 Silverado LS 5.3 4×4 love that truck , I will say it can move a house pulls so good power house 172,000 miles did have cam,lifters and heads replaced after .
Like to read your ideas hear plus updates on new products to look in to maybe soon get a new truck soon.

You read a few people making noise on the forums and a recall for valve springs from a 3rd party manufacturer defect and it calls for running around yelling “lifter problem” every chance you get? Apply a little common sense here, there are tens of millions of these engines around, the failure rate is in the decimal of a percent. There is no “problem”. There is neglect from some, there are some rogue failures (it is a mechanical unit built by men and machines, they will happen on occasion) and that is it. No high rate of failure, no big recall needed, it has been covered on here and other publications. So you can stop spreading false information. For every one you hear of an issue there around 100’s of others that are crossing 100k, 200k, 300k+ miles…

That’s a bit steep, isn’t it?
We’ve discussed this before. Trucks are price inflated on purpose. Back in the early 2000’s, and part of the reason GM went bankrupt is that they sold trucks at a reasonable price. Hertz and enterprise like fleets would buy new trucks, buy them in a batch of 100-200 and negotiate 10k$ off. They would drive them 30K miles and sell them to many would be truck customers for the same price they bought them and GM lost would be new truck sales.
To counter this the big 3 has jacked up the prices and has a “built in incentive” you should in a non pandemic chip shortage year get nearly 10K$ off any of these prices.
Fleets still get their 10K$ of while negotiating, but they are ineligible for dealership incentives such as “truck month” or “competitive customer” incentives. These will undoubtedly be applied as inventories go up
Hopefully we get those incentives back, honestly, it may not go back to normal until 2023. That LTZ price is a hard pill to swallow without the 7-10k you expect to get off the price between price negotiation and vendor rebates.
We need the nicer interior when we travel as a family so we’re kind of stuck into the LTZ model. I need those ventilated seats in the south.
It will take another year at least. While it’s true production is returning to normal, we got a year backlog to fill. That takes time.
You don’t need the “nicer interior”, you want the nicer interior. Down south here in Texas, give me cloth any day of the week. Breathable, not hot nor cold, no need to depend on the ventilated seats to keep working as the miles pile on (our last few weren’t working as well as they approached 100k miles, they get clogged and loose efficiency). Give me a nicely equipped LT with cloth seats. Will keep most the payload, won’t have the ridiculous oversized low profile wheels, and less up keep along with a more reasonable price.
You must not have large dogs and kids. Leather is a must have if you like your vehicle to stay looking good. Not to mention the quality of life improvements on the higher trim levels are life savers when you’re towing with the family and dogs for 10 hours while road tripping.
Dont get me wrong, I wish I could just get what I needed on a lower trim level without the stuff I dont need but that’s not how GM packages the trims. Hell, half the time kitting out a lower trim ends up being the same or more.
I do hate the damn giant wheels, forcing 20s as standard is annoying.
Lot of money for a regular cab with black plastic ugly grill.

$33k for a barebones single cab work truck? That is absolutely bonkers! That’s $8k more than an extended cab Colorado work truck.
Fullsize truck pricing has gotten way out of hand.
Understandably the Denali is ~$3k more than the high country. However the AT4 is ~$7500 more than the trail boss. That is nuts!
TrailBoss comes with cloth seats and 2.7 standard
AT4 comes with leather and 3.0 diesel standard
Spec an LT TB with 3.0or 6.2, leather and other items that are standard on AT4 and its price is very close.

Originally that was the date for configurator with pricing but the configurator (non-pricing) never went live, well not a/o yesterday.
wonder if the timeline got pushed back when dealer order books opened late or if Chevy is just going to try and hit that Jan 5th date and give us a configurator WITH pricing.
honestly, never understood why they were going to upload it without prices to begin with so maybe this makes more sense.

Agree, and they still offering the 2021 model on their web site that make no sense at all, I heard that even the limited 2022 is not available for ordering anymore.
