Four months after announcing the refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave refreshed in Mexico, General Motors has just officially launched Buick’s flagship crossover in the only Latin American country where the brand is marketed. During a corporate press event, the automaker released all the details and confirmed the imminent arrival of the 2022 Enclave to the Mexican market.
The 2022 Buick Enclave will go on sale in Mexico early next year and will complete the renewal of the Tri-Shield brand’s portfolio in that country, where the model leads the line of utility vehicles above the new Envision and the Encore GX. The mid-cycle update to the second-generation full-size crossover not only revamped its design, it also brings more standard technology and safety equipment.
“Buick Enclave, a pioneer in the premium SUV segment and synonymous with luxury, comfort and connectivity that make it a special vehicle for family living, comes to our country with a design that conveys fluidity and refinement wherever it is seen,” said Buick Marketing Manager at GM Mexico, Wilberto del Ángel, in a press release. “With the new 2022 Buick Enclave, we’re elevating the driving experience that customers expect in a premium SUV,” he added.
Like the previous model year, the refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave will be ship to Mexico with just two distinctive trim levels: Essence and Avenir. Both feature the well-known 3.6L LFY V6 engine that develops 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, mated to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, while featuring the most comprehensive suite of safety systems in its class as standard in the Latin country.
The 2022 Buick Enclave’s cabin receives minor changes such as a new steering wheel design and a new color scheme for the Avenir trim. In addition, the 2022 Enclave adopts Buick’s latest infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Amazon Alexa, a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system, a wireless phone charging and enhanced OnStar services.
The refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave will be available throughout the entire Buick-GMC dealer network in Mexico during the first quarter of 2022, offering a total of seven paint color options and two distinctive interior combinations. The units will arrive imported from the GM Lansing Delta Township plant that supplies all of North America. The suggested prices of the two versions of the 2022 Enclave in Mexico are as follows:
- 2022 Enclave Essence: 1,096,900 MXN (about $52,160 USD at the current exchange rate)
- 2022 Enclave Avenir: 1,202,900 MXN ($57,200 USD)

GM was saved from bankruptcy by American taxpayers so it ‘could keep good paying jobs in the United States’.
As payback GM closes plants like ‘Lordstown’ and others and moved jobs out of the country so Mary can max her compensation.

I hope the Enclave is better then the Encore. Bought a 2014 Encore it is the biggest lemon I ever owned. At the end of the Warranty is when it cost me thousands of dollars to keep it running,
