Chevrolet Colombia sales decreased 30 percent to 2,399 units in October 2021. The figures rank GM as the second-biggest car manufacturer in the country, while Chevrolet finished as the second best-selling automobile brand, behind Renault.

Colombian auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Chevy model sales performance was as follows:

In addition to the models specified, Chevrolet also markets the following vehicles in Colombia:

During the first ten months of the 2021 calendar year, Chevrolet Colombia sales increased 7 percent to 27,108 units.

The GM Authority Take

After registering their worst result so far this year in September, Chevrolet Colombia sales posted another considerable decline in October. The negative performance represents the fourth consecutive drop in Chevy sales in the South American country, where the Bow Tie brand has failed to regain its historic position as the country’s best-selling auto brand. However, the sales volume represents a significant recovery from the 1,262 units sold in September.

In October, the vast majority of models offered by Chevrolet in Colombia suffered large double-digit drops, including the Chevy Onix / Joy best-seller. The good news for the brand is that Onix sales volume drastically recovered during the month, moving from only seven units in September to 875 deliveries in October. The performance places the nameplate in fourth place among the best-selling vehicles in the country. In contrast, the commercial truck line was the only one that managed to increase its sales in October on an annual basis, driven by robust demand for such vehicles in the Colombian market.
