Chevrolet Chile sales decreased 14 percent to 2,810 units in November 2021. The figures place Chevrolet as the country’s second-best-selling automobile brand during the month.

Chilean auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Chevy model sales performance was as follows:

In addition to the models specified, Chevrolet also markets the following vehicles in Chile:

The GM Authority Take

Chevrolet Chile sales declined once again in November, as the Bow Tie brand faces a shortage of its most popular vehicles in the country due to ongoing logistical difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, the decline experienced in November becomes Chevrolet‘s second consecutive decline in the Chilean market after the 1.6 percent drop in October, causing Chevy to once again lose local sales leadership for the month – this time to Suzuki.

In November, the best-selling Chevrolet models in Chile such as the new Groove and Sail registered lower sales volumes compared to previous months. The Sail subcompact sedan suffered a drastic decline of nearly 85 percent, while the brand’s smallest crossover – the Groove – lost its position as Chevy’s best-selling model to the N400 minibus.

In contrast to the rest of the models, the N400 – which is built and developed by GM’s Chinese joint venture partner, Wuling – achieved a sales record of 835 deliveries last month thanks to greater availability of landed inventory.
