In late August, the all-new Chevy Bolt EUV made its public debut in the Middle East during an exclusive event in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Three and a half months after its regional premiere in Southwest Asian countries, General Motors has just introduced the new Chevy Bolt EUV for the first time in Saudi Arabia – the largest country and one of the main markets in the region.
The all-new Chevy Bolt EUV made its first public appearance in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the 2021 Jeddah International Motor Show, which began this week in the Saudi city of the same name. GM’s Middle East affiliate introduced the all-electric vehicle in the country with the aim of inspiring and educating the local public by showing them the benefits of zero-emission propulsion, as well as showcasing Chevrolet’s latest EV technology before the official launch.
Notably, the 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is the first of 13 new electric vehicles GM will launch in Middle East countries through 2025. The automaker reported that Chevrolet’s first global electric crossover will arrive in that region early next year to democratize the next era of mobility, while introducing a body format more in line with the preferences of local buyers.
The new Chevy Bolt EUV builds on the main attributes of the Bolt EV and packages them in a crossover body with greater dimensions, opening more space for passengers and cargo in a region characterized by its love for bigger and bolder vehicles. As such, the Bolt EUV has a better potential to win over Middle East customers by being the entry-level electric vehicle that best suits their tastes.
Additionally, the all-new Chevy Bolt EUV’s battery pack allows for a less traumatic transition from an internal combustion vehicle to the all-electric era. Thanks to its 340 miles or 547 km of pure electric range on a full charge, the Chevy Bolt EUV needs to be recharged as often as a gasoline car needs to refuel, making it the ideal EV for a wide range of customers.
The all-new Chevy Bolt EUV is on display throughout this week at the Jeddah International Motor Show in anticipation of its imminent arrival at dealerships in Saudi Arabia. It is expected that the official launch of the all-new Chevy Bolt EUV in the Middle East will take place in the next few weeks and the vehicle will go on sale in January 2022, as the company itself recently confirmed.

340 mile range?
It’s not EPA rated for a country that doesn’t have an EPA. 340 Miles is the NEDC rating for the EUV.
US Bolts 247 miles. SA Bolts 340 miles. Not the same ranges
well, it is a nice design… after seen all others cheviq, buiq and caddiq… & also from other brands, but … does it exist ?
I BELIEVE ITS 248 MILES PER CHARGE!
Ordered a EUV Premier in August and still no word if it will ever arrive and now we are hearing it will arrive in the Middle East but when in North America ?????????
Bolts returning to production in 3rd week of January ’22. I put a deposit on a new EUV Premier, and the dealer showed me on his order book that my car is due for build the third week of production.
I hear you Andre!! I ordered mine back in June, and it was built first week of August. I still don’t have mine, either. No word on when I will…
Considering that Bolt production has been shut down since late August, except for 2 weeks to facilitate the battery replacement effort, how can GM launch the Bolt in January, needing a battery change? 340 miles per full charge? Someone needs to screen the ad copy.
I think that something is amiss with this story. Obviously the range is made up unless the EUV was receiving an unannounced new 80-90 Kw battery. Also do you think that more then a few folks in the U.S. would become irritated learning that new Bolts were going to go on sale in a country that sells a gallon of gas for less than a dollar? It’s like kissing your own sister, what is the point?
Can’t set anything on fire in the sand. Good place for it.
maybe you can use the sand to put out an EV fire!!!
I see production starting back up in Jan. But, any update on when the in-stock Bolts will start getting the software update? Or when the stop-sale might be lifted? I’ve heard some rumors, nothing concrete though…
I agree with the others here…I own a 2022 BOLT EUV (since June ’21), and the range is much closer to 259 miles rather than 340… Yes if you drive the car around in a circle at 25 mph the car will do 340 miles… But I doubt Saudis drive like that. But – I still like the car. 65 kwh is ok, but I long for GM to produce a 100 (at least) kwh battery vehicle such as the upcoming Caddy Lyriq.
Assuming gasoline in Saudi Arabia is as close to free as it gets, I don’t see why locals would want any electric car.
