2022 GMC Sierra AT4 vs. 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss: Interior Differences

Although the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 and 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss share a variety of similarities, including an off-road-ready attitude and the same GM T1 platform for the underpinnings,  these two pickups are also very different. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the interior differences between the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 and 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss.

In order to more accurately compare the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 with the 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss, we’re looking at both Trail Boss trim levels, including the Silverado Custom Trail Boss, and the Silverado LT Trail Boss.

Looking over the equipment for all three nameplates mentioned, we find that just a single feature is equipped as standard for each model in this comparison, namely a 10-way power driver seat with lumbar support. The rest of the features vary in availability between the 2022 GMC Sierra AT4 and 2022 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss models.

One of the more interesting points of divergence is the upholstery, with cloth seating surfaces as standard for Chevy Silverado Custom Trail Boss and the Silverado LT Trail Boss models, and perforated leather seating as standard on GMC Sierra AT4 trim levels. The Chevy Silverado LT Trail Boss is also available with optional leather seating surfaces.

As a reminder, there are four engine options available for these two pickup trucks, including the turbocharged 2.7 I4 L3B gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. With regard to production, both nameplates are produced at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and the GM Silao plant in Mexico, while the Silverado will be produced at the GM Oshawa plant in Canada in the near future.

  2. there is no front 40/20/40 available in the silverado lt trailboss, it comes standard with the bucket seat
