General Motors has just launched the 2022 Chevy Colorado range with some notable new features in South Korea, where the model has a good level of acceptance as the first traditional American pickup to be sold in the country. And with the launch of 2022 Colorado, the automaker is introducing a new premium care service for imported vehicles that Chevrolet sells in the South Korean market.
The 2022 Chevy Colorado represents the third model year of Chevrolet’s midsize pickup in South Korea. Imported from the United States, the vehicle first went on sale in late 2019 as a 2020 model, and a year later, the refreshed 2021 model was introduced. While maintaining exactly the same precedent layout and configuration, the 2022 Colorado introduces the new Sand Dune exterior color and a redesigned shift lever.
However, one of the most notable new features that the 2022 Chevy Colorado introduces in Korea is a service called Chevrolet Premium Care Service that seeks to improve the brand’s image and increase the level of customer satisfaction. This exclusive new service is launched with the Colorado to build on its popularity in the South Korean market, where the pickup was the top-selling imported vehicle for the first time in September.
“We have introduced this service to provide customers with the best convenience through premium care services that befit the status of domestic imported car brands and to secure stronger customer loyalty at the same time,” said Executive Vice President of GM Korea Service Division, Yongtae Lee. “With our professional vehicle management service, we will make a great contribution to not only customer satisfaction with our products, but also to improving the awareness of the Chevrolet brand,” he added.
The new Chevrolet Premium Care service introduced with the 2022 Chevy Colorado in Korea is a comprehensive program that customers can use, such as priority express maintenance of their vehicles without a reservation. Through a call center, users get pickup and delivery service without having to visit the dealership in person.
The 2022 Chevy Colorado will be available for sale at Chevrolet dealerships in South Korea beginning Monday, December 13th, in Crew Cab configuration and a total of four distinctive trim levels. All versions are equipped with the 3.6L LGZ V6 engine with 312 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Starting price is KRW 40,500,000, about $34,300 USD at the current exchange rate.
