The base price of the 2022 Chevy Blazer Premier is actually lower than the 2021 model due to certain equipment changes between the two model years.
For example, the Enhanced Convenience Package (RPO code ZL8) went from being standard on the 2021 Chevy Blazer Premier to being optional on the 2022 Blazer Premier. The (V92) Trailering equipment is now standard on the Blazer Premier AWD and, for both FWD and AWD, no longer requires the 3.6L LGX V6 engine. That’s because, for 2022, the standard turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine increases towing capacity from 1,500 pounds to 3,500 pounds.
The base MSRP of the 2021 Blazer Premier FWD is $43,895 compared to $42,295 for the 2022 model – a notable difference of $1,600. The 2021 Blazer Premier AWD is $46,095 compared to $45,195 for the 2022 model – a difference of $900.
That also means upgrading the 2021 Blazer Premier and 2022 Blazer Premier with the same options results in a very similar price.

Similarly, that puts the 2021 Blazer Premier AWD at $47,245 compared to $47,355 for the 2022 – only a $110 difference.
The 2022 Chevrolet Blazer represents the fourth model year of the Camaro-inspired crossover, receiving quite a few changes and updates.
That includes the 2022 Blazer losing the cargo area rail system. The 2022 Blazer also loses the base-level L and second-tier 1LT trim levels. Both trims were available exclusively with the naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 LCV gasoline engine, which has also been removed.

I thought the price reduction was due to all the hard plastic panels that adorn the interior! Not much soft in a Blazer ☹️
Premier needs a larger screen, like the Chinese Blazer is getting. Cheap GM
Plus, GM removed the paint from all of the lower body trim, so now you pay the Premier price for the look of an LT.
As I thought, the deleting of some standards and moving things to optional. Plus Covid 19 deletions too. Bah Humbug.
