Dubai Police Adds Cadillac CT5 Patrol Car To Its Fleet

The Dubai Police have added a Cadillac CT5 to their always-expanding fleet of premium patrol cars.

Cadillac’s exclusive dealer partner in the UAE, Al Ghandi Auto, delivered the new Cadillac CT5 patrol car to the Dubai Police during a special handing over ceremony this week. which was attended by Dubai Police Major General, Dr. Mohamed Al Razouqi, along with Mark Jenkins, CEO of Al Ghandi Auto and Kristian Aquilina, the Managing Director of Cadillac International Operations and Cadillac Middle East.

“We are thrilled and humbled to see the CT5 join the Dubai Police fleet, and in a way allow us to play a role in the safety and security of a community we love,” Aquilina said in a prepared statement. “The model packs amazing features, from the latest of Cadillac’s technologies to superior performance and sophisticated design, and we know it is the ideal choice for Dubai Police.”

The Dubai Police’s Cadillac CT5 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L LSY engine, which is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It sends power to the rear wheels through a GM 10-speed automatic transmission.

The acquisition of a Cadillac CT5 comes just after the Dubai Police added 10 Cadillac Escalade models to its fleet last year. According to Jenkins, the Escalades helped the Dubai Police carry out various tasks that were crucial to the country’s COVID-19 pandemic response.

“Following the addition of the 10 Cadillac Escalade SUVs to the Dubai Police fleet last year, to help in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in its early stages, we are delighted to see yet
another distinguished Cadillac model join the force today and contribute to maintaining order in the Emirate,” Jenkins said.

The Cadillac CT5 is priced from 150,400 AED in the UAE, which is equivalent to around $41,000 USD at the time of publication.

  5. Ok nice . . But . With the extra weight of a police car, they should have opted for the 3.0 V6 with 335 Horsepower.
