Last November, we shared a video of a brilliant Chevy Silverado HD wood carving that was completed by a hugely talented and creative artist on YouTube who goes by the username Woodworking Art. Our favorite woodworker has been honing his craft over the past 12 months or so and has now returned with a second Chevy Silverado HD wood carving – only this time it’s bigger, better and even more detailed than before.
Just like before, this wood carving is based on the current T1 platform Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Despite being made from wood (which is from a Fujian cypress tree), it features all the same working elements as a high-quality scale model, including a movable hood, doors, tailgate and fuel filler door, retractable side steps, rolling wheels, independent front suspension and leaf spring rear suspension. There’s also an accurately detailed interior with an infotainment screen and center console, a full-size spare tire under the bed and an engine bay with a detailed 6.6L L8T V8 engine.
The unnamed artist also created a scale horse trailer for his Chevy Silverado 2500HD wood carving to “tow” around, although this video doesn’t show much of the trailer itself. It appears to have a similarly obsessive attention to detail as both of the creator’s Chevy Silverado HD wood carvings, however, with a full-size spare tire, working doors and red safety reflector lights.
Viewers interested in buying one of these impressive automotive-themed wood carvings can check out Woodworking Art’s Etsy page, as well, although we should warn you that these bespoke creations don’t come cheap. Most cost over 1,000 British Pounds, which is equivalent to about $1,350 USD.
Check out the video embedded below to see how this one-of-a-kind wood carving was created.

Wow he did a great job on this. And this price is not high for the detailing and time he has put into this.
Needs a bigger screen!

Shut the Fu*k up!
This is incredible! The workmanship & skill displayed is superb! What you cannot see are the hours spent planning and designing this masterpiece. When fabricating, one wrong cut could send the creator back to square one.
Incredible price !
