The GM Authority Take

The slight decline in Chevrolet Chile sales during October represent the brand’s first negative result after six consecutive months of growth in the South American country. Still, the result enabled Chevrolet to regain its usual position as the best-selling brand in the Chilean market last month, which it had lost for the first time in a long time to MG in September.

Chevy Sail

The slight decline in Chevrolet Chile sales in October was the result of a significant drop in sales volume of the Chevy Spark, one of the brand’s most popular nameplates in the country. Sales of the city car fell so much that they do not even appear in the country’s official registry of vehicle sales.

By contrast, the Chevy Sail posted a significant recovery compared to the previous month, nearly doubling its sales year-over-year.

Additionally, the new Chevy Groove maintained a healthy level of sales, consolidating it as the Bow Tie brand’s best-selling model during the month.
