General Motors has announced the two Cadillac Blackwing ultra-performance sedans will arrive in the Middle East next year.
Both the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing and 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will begin arriving at Cadillac dealerships in the Middle East in January. It’s unclear how many units have been earmarked for sale in the Middle East, although the automaker confirmed that only a “limited number of Cadillac V-Series Blackwings will be available at dealers,” in the region.
Cadillac brought the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing to the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi earlier this month to celebrate the local market launch of the Cadillac Blackwing sedans. In the hands of 21-year-old Formula 3 racer Amna Al Qubaisi, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing set a lap time of 2:20.98 around the 3.2-mile F1 circuit — breaking the lap record for production four-doors and earning it the somewhat obscure title of “Fastest Production Sedan around the Yas Marina Circuit.”

Kristian Aquilina, Managing Director of Cadillac International Operations and Cadillac Middle East, said the arrival of the two sedans in the region is exciting, as the “love of racing and high-performance vehicles,” in the Middle East is “unmistakable.”
“We are thrilled to see the strong response in just a few weeks after the first regional appearance of the V-Series Blackwings, marked by a record setting lap time from racing star Amna Al Qubaisi in the CT5-V Blackwing,” Aquilina said. “We promise an exciting start to the year for car enthusiasts who want the thrill on the track alongside comfort on the roads and we are certain that these nameplates will set new benchmarks for innovation and excellence.”
The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by a supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine, which produces 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The CT4-V Blackwing, meanwhile, taps GM’s twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine, which produces 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. Both sedans are rear-wheel-drive only and come standard with a six-speed manual transmission. Both vehicles also feature upgraded brakes, along with available carbon fiber aerodynamics packages.
Pricing for the two Cadillac Blackwing sedans for the Middle East has not yet been announced.

Too Bad CADILLAC didn’t simply name the sedans Blackwing
It’s always something, isn’t it Roy?
TO GENERAL MOTORS IF YOU MADE A RHD VERSION OF THE BLACWING FOR AUSTRALIAN MARKET VIA GMSV AUSTRALIA THIS WOULD MAKE A VERY WORTHY RACECAR IN THE AUSTRALIAN SUPERCAR SERIES. This car reminds me of the Holden Commodore and it would be a great way of returning fans/customers back to the GM brand back in Australia!!!!!!!!! For Cadillac it would be a great way to get back into the Australian market under a Banner like GM-C Australia. Being a four door sedan these cars still sell, not everyone buys SUVs!!!!!!!!! IF YOU DID THIS EX HOLDEN CUSTOMERS WOULD RETURN TO GENERAL MOTORS!!!!
The GM Holden Commodore in the Australian Supercars has raced at that same circuit in the past 10 years during a Supercars event/race that was held there. The Cadillac Blackwing would make a great race car at the Australian Bathurst 1000 which is being held on December 5th 2021. The GM Holden Commodore race car is doing its last race this year considering it has not been manufactured for a while. It would be great to see a General Motors Cadillac Blackwing be entered into season 2022 or 2023!!!!!!!!! It would be a great replacement
