The Chevy Suburban may be a go-to vehicle for families and airport limousine operators, but the automaker decided to paint the full-size SUV in a slightly different light at this year’s SEMA Show, outfitting it with a variety of performance-inspired parts to create the new 2022 Chevy Suburban Street Concept.
The automaker says the 2022 Chevy Suburban Street Concept is “expressive street style,” to the nameplate and is “a perfect fit for a night on the Strip,” in Las Vegas. Based on a production 2022 Chevy Suburban High Country, it features four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, a new Black-painted Chevrolet Accessories grille with a Chevrolet script, a matte black hood decal, and a variety of Chevrolet Accessories parts including Black mirror caps and badges.
Completing the build are a set of 24-inch custom-cut, polished billet aluminum wheels with black center inserts and a Chevrolet Performance Brembo brake upgrade system. The purpose of this concept is to demonstrate what kind of custom treatments can be applied to the 2022 Chevy Silverado via the Chevrolet Accessories catalog or the aftermarket, hopefully inspiring current and future Suburban owners to customize and/or accessorize their vehicle a little bit.
The 2022 Chevy Suburban Street Concept is similar to the 2022 Chevy Silverado High Country Midnight Concept that is also on display at SEMA this week. Like the Silverado, this concept Suburban trades the chrome exterior trim pieces and parts for gloss-black painted ones, giving it a sportier and meaner-looking exterior appearance. Chevy has not said if it plans to make production versions of either vehicle, although we imagine the decision hinges on the public’s reaction to them at SEMA.
This vehicle will be present at Chevy’s booth in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 2nd to November 5th.

I like it but I like it better with the bow tie then they Chevrolet in the grill.
I will personally be glad when this fad is over. Even though it literally says CHEVROLET, nothing says Chevy like a bow tie!
Me to brother it just looks weird with the Chevrolet written across the front. I don’t hate it or nothing but like you said the bow tie is the bow tie it speaks for itself.
The Yukon has the best headlights in the game change my mind.
… for those who wins like 456 in Squid Games can buy such cars, a Corvetterrari and even a Rolls Royce…
is not in our lives so, all about money, which mask you use daily ?
Ditch the chrome trim and send those wells back to 1982.
Performance inspired? Where are the performance improvements? All show, no go!
Love gm but the only thing that annoys me about the new gen Tahoe’s is the taillights. No led turn signals or brake lights or led taillights. I mean your paying all this money for a monstrosity of a suv and don’t get these things in 2021
Can it be ordered with normal size wheels, like 18’s? Personally 16’s would be great, I’d rather have more rubber than metal.
Thanks
I’m old school, they can have their blacked out look, trucks and motorcycles can’t have too much chrome. Yes I was a truck driver.
What did you drive?
Freight shakers, Mack’s, Cornbinders, and Kenworths
Nice I’m a big Mack, Peterbilt, and kenworth fan. Do you still drive or retired? Which has been your favorite that you drove and why?
No I’m retired at 78 and glad I don’t have to put up with those ELDs. Don’t think I would like “Big Brother” looking over my shoulder…
Favorite… Freightliner, more room, better turning radius, with an air ride front axle smooth riding. Kenworth has a strange phenomenon about a good turning radius one way but not the other. Mack’s ride rough and the Mack transmission is one to master. I trained new drivers in our tankers, these were experienced drivers who thought they were great, until they tried to shift it, Mack made them all look like rookies. Lol
Lol. I’m actually thinking about becoming a truck driver I’ve joined a few forums to read what those guys say. Funny thing several people on the forum have said the same thing about the ELDs so that is definitely something I’m going to consider. I appreciate the info.
My KW and Pete had their fair shares of shinny stuff, but my Harleys and other trucks, the less the better.
Custom cars… since the 2nd car went down a dirt road. Chariots too were done the personalized way back then as well as 14th-century carriages and, and, and. So I wouldn’t call custom vehicles, mild or wild, a fad. My family has been doing that custom car thing since the 1930s and business is better than ever.
This will be killer popular with the Gangbangers and urban Bad Ass crowd. Black color rules in current Bad Ass culture. This will be a big winner for GM if they introduce it.
I’m presently at SEMA and will check it out.
Well done. A+
The GMC face is the best so far for all the 2022 suvs
