General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave crossover back in June, debuting a selection of new features, optional equipment, revised styling, new safety technology, and exclusive goodies specific to the Avenir trim level. Now, interested fans and potential customers can spec the new Enclave to taste using the official online configurator.
Originally set for a debut with the 2021 model year, the launch of the refreshed Buick Enclave was pushed back to the 2022 model year as a result of delays stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
From the off, the refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave struts its stuff with a brand new exterior style highlighted by a broad, shield-shaped grille design, as well as thin upper lighting signatures complemented by sleek lower lighting elements. The rear of the crossover incorporates equally sleek taillights that stretch from the rear fenders into the hatch, connected by a single horizontal trim line. The fresh style is also offered with a range of new alloy wheel designs, plus a unique grille treatment and wheels for models equipped with the optional Sport Touring package.
The refresh continues into the cabin, where the 2022 Buick Enclave is equipped with a revised center console that mirrors the sleek styling of the exterior. Features here include a new push-button electronic transmission gear selector, an optional Rear Camera Mirror and rear pedestrian alert, and an optional color head-up display, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It was originally expected that the 2022 Buick Enclave would launch without wireless device charging (RPO code K4C) as a result of the ongoing global microchip shortage. However, as GM Authority covered previously, General Motors has reversed that decision.
The engine lineup offers a single powertrain, namely the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm. Output is harnessed by a nine-speed automatic transmission, which feeds the front wheels as standard. All-wheel drive is also available.

Beautiful job Buick and GM! And the new sage green color looks awesome.
No mention that the Enclave moved up market again. 2021 model started at $41k, 2022 starts at $44k due to the base preferred trim being removed. Why?
Also fully loaded will cost more than $65k. Bit much isn’t it? For that money you’re honestly better off getting something from Germany.
What is so magic about Germany? Over-complex technology many mistake for “engineering” and the attendant failures; lease programs are so aggressive that the value drops greatly in the first two and three years; regular maintenance that is beyond expensive; and when you get right down to it, they really aren’t that great if if one is honest with one’s self.
Been there and done that with German cars. And yes, I took care of them.
When will dealerships have the 2022 Enclave?
No Brown leather interior on the New 2022. Don’t like the choice of 2 interior colors.
I agree, the 2021 Enclave(Avenir) has a much nicer interior.
We own 2 AWD Buicks the Envision and the Enclave. Very satisfied with both automobiles. How ever the upscale Enclave Avenir much too pricey. I could buy a comparable Audi Q8 but prefer to support GM and North American automobiles
.
I am a huge fan of the Enclave just brought an used Enclave Avenir. As much as I hate to say it I don’t like this 2022 as much as the 2018-2021 model. I don’t like the interior choices my mouth is on the floor that GM dropped the beautiful brown interior that was a huge selling point. The exterior colors seem to be lacking from the previous model. Not sure what Buick is thinking but I think the model will still do well. It looks like they kept the signal mirrors.
See I’m the opposite. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new ‘22. I think the upgrades are more appealing and I very much disliked the brown interior color. And that wonky cell-phone looking shifter was a big turn-off for me.
The 2022 Enclave front end (headlight location) looks terrible in comparing it to the 2021 Enclave.
