Southern California-based aftermarket parts company T-Rex has introduced a new billet grille insert for the 2021 GMC Yukon.
The company says its new billet grilles for the T1-generation GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL are designed and manufactured in-house at its facility in Corona, California and include all the necessary hardware for at-home installation, along with step-by-step instructions. The T-Rex billet grilles are available in either a chrome finish, expanding on the Yukon’s premium exterior appearance, or a sportier gloss black finish. Both the chrome and black inserts are priced from $284.50 on T-Rex’s website and are available to order now. Customers can also order an aftermarket T-Rex grille badge separately, which has a similar shape to the factory ‘GMC’ grille badge and costs $32.45.
“[T-Rex] Billet Grilles set the standard for billet grille design and quality worldwide,” the company says. “The traditional Billet design has become a timeless classic and only T-REX has delivered the best for over 25 years!”
T-Rex billet grilles are covered by the company’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, which applies to material and workmanship issues. There’s also a separate three-year warranty on the grille finish for both the chrome and black versions. This billet grille design does not fit GMC Yukon or Yukon XL models equipped with the available forward-facing camera, nor does it fit Denali trim level models.
It’s worth noting that these billet grilles are not official GMC accessories, but come from a third-party vendor. GMC does sell its own accessory grille for the 2021 GMC Yukon and 2021 GMC Yukon XL, which features a black-painted grille insert and a body color painted grille surround. The official GMC accessory grille, which cannot be installed on range-topping Denali models due to the different front fascia design, is priced from $850 USD – quite a bit more than the aftermarket T-Rex grille.

Man those grilles are ugly. Only to be owned by the guy who has a riding mower for a small lawn takes the wife to Applebee’s every Friday and has ‘his’ booth
