Following the world debut of the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra in Detroit, General Motors announced the latest updates to GMC‘s iconic pickup for the Middle East. The regional affiliate of the automaker confirmed that the brand-new 2022 Sierra with the most advanced and luxurious model lineup to date will arrive in Southwest Asian countries in the middle of next year.
The refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra introduces a long list of changes and updates over the current model, such as a more radical exterior design, a highly refined cabin, powertrain upgrades and the addition of two new high-end trim levels that seek to raise the bar in its segment. In fact, the all-new 2022 Sierra Denali Ultimate and Sierra AT4X will be the most premium full-size pickups in the Middle East.
“The GMC Sierra is one of our most popular models and highest-selling vehicles in the Middle East. Over the years, we have introduced new generations of the model, including exclusive trims such as the Elevation and AT4 Regular Cab, designed specifically for our market,” said Chief Marketing Officer, GM Africa and Middle East, Sharon Nishi, in a statement. “With the newest GMC Sierra and the introduction of the first-ever Denali Ultimate and AT4X trims, we are setting the bar high in the truck segment with significant elements for our regional customers. We truly can’t wait to see the new Sierra on-road and off-road in the Middle East,” she added.
Aesthetically, the refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 features an even more imposing exterior design with a larger grille and slimmer headlights, making it one of the most attractive trucks on the market. The most notable change, however, lies in the all-new interior with a massive 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a revised center console with an Electronic Precision Shift gear selector.
For its part, the all-new 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate becomes the most advanced and refined model in the nameplate’s history, as well as one the most luxurious pickups in its class thanks to its exclusive exterior finish and sophisticated interior. The new model is accompanied by the first Sierra AT4X that arrives as the new premium off-road variant with greater capacities and uncompromised refinement.
The refreshed 2022 GMC Sierra will arrive in Middle East countries in the summer of 2022, when region-specific trim levels and configurations will be announced. As in North America, the 2022 Sierra is expected to come standard with the 2.7L I4 L3B turbocharged engine in Middle East countries with 310 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. It will also feature the 5.3L V8 L84 and 6.2L V8 L87.

Finally got the interior right, now they ruined the looks with that ugly front.
Whoever signed off on those hideous wheels should be fired!
@GMC a needs to offer the Elevation and AT4 trims of the Regular Cab, Short Bed pickup in the US!! Why deny your home market? Set aside a limited production run and offer it as a halo vehicle.
Not offering a short bed higher end truck here is just plain stupid , they are built in this area so why not sell them here also nothing special as a “Limited” which make them retail for more money but just a regular order truck like before
