GM China sales decreased 19 percent to 623,500 units during the third quarter of 2021. Sales fell at Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and Baojun brands, while increasing at Wuling. Sales volume was impacted by the ongoing global semiconductor supply chain disruption.

  2. 49,500 Chevys in 3 months. What’s happening?

    1. Chevrolet lacks proper positioning in the Chinese market. It can compete with VW but that’s also the job of Buick. It’s viewed as an overpriced discount car that often doesn’t even make the JD Power Satisfaction China List.
Sad! Chevy can’t find its niche lacking the love Chinese give Buick.

  3. 623,500 units is still not bad for an American company in China, Chevy has a niche in the US it’s called Trucks and Corvettes also Chevy was never really big in China as it’s the value brand of GM and you have to remember that the exchange rate of importing a Chevy overseas to China is expensive… While Buicks are made in China so it makes sense that Buick outsells Chevy in China. It’s the same here Chevy outsells Buick because the Chevys are made here or Mexico or Canada and it’s a lot cheaper to drive across the US, Mexico or Canada then to import Buicks from overseas in China.

    1. Say what?
Almost all Chevys sold in China are made in China.

      1. I did not know this I thought Malibu’s, Equinoxes, Tahoe, suburban, Corvette where imports to China… I know that Chevy has their own Chinese names in China and the Trailblazer is a Korean CUV so it to is imported as well. Then again where is Fords presence in China? I never hear of a Chinese Ford product you would think they would want to compete in the next biggest car market.
