Way to go GM. Discount the trucks with the power trains no one wants. Why would anybody buy a full size truck with a V6 or 4 cylinder is beyond me. If you’re worried about fuel mileage buy a Honda Ridgeline.
Point is the “V8’s” sell, so why discount them? Like you said, no one wants a V6 or 4 in their full size truck so they have to discount them to get rid of them. The better statement would be to not build a 4 banger, but the V6 Turbos are a different story, minus the V8 rumble.
I feel GM doesn’t quite understand that most buyers buy their Trucks because they DO have v8’s. Trying to shift the brand(s) away from that will be a costly mistake.
The LS/LT is what holds this company above water.
$2000 of that is a gm scam,it is on every window sticker someone had a bright idea on how get people to pay $3500 extra for a 5.3 and $4500 for 6.2 without being transparent about it. A “rebate” for accepting the base engine who would of thunk.
need more info on the GMC SIERRA 1500 ECT???
How can you discount a truck you can’t even buy!
I would like to know the buy rate with this motor, seems like they could save some chips by not building many of theses 2.7’s. Not to mention it has dfm in a 4 cylinder, so u have a full size truck running on 2 cylinders. Why do u need dfm if this engine is so efficient??
