Cadillac has confirmed it will be one of the main sponsors of the upcoming Ebony Power 100 awards ceremony on October 23rd.
The American luxury brand joins several other brands in supporting the Ebony Power 100 gala, including Procter & Gamble, Coke Zero Sugar, Baccarat, Dove, Goldman Sachs, United Airlines, and McDonald’s. Verizon will serve as the headline sponsor of the event.
The Ebony Power 100 Awards is an annual awards ceremony that recognizes outstanding leaders and achievements from members of the Black community. Awards are handed out across a variety of fields and disciplines from business, sports, media, activism, music and entertainment. This year’s gala will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated actor, singer, comedian, and television personality Wayne Brady.
In addition, the Ebon Power 100 Awards ceremony will feature performances from a variety of artists including Deon Jones, Justin Skye, Erica Campbell and Lucky Daye, while DJ Aktive will provide music for the official afterparty.
“With this year’s Ebony Power 100, we knew we had to come back in a big way,” Ebony CEO Michele Ghee said in a prepared statement. “Our 2021 honorees represent a diverse collective of leaders, trailblazers and powerhouse creatives in their respective industries. With Wayne Brady at the helm as host, I know that we are creating an unforgettable evening of celebration and a milestone for the new Ebony as we culminate our 75th Anniversary!”
Cadillac is also a headline sponsor of the annual Oscars awards gala. During this year’s broadcast of the Oscars, the luxury automaker premiered a new video advertisement called “Lighting the Way” that promoted the upcoming 2023 Cadillac Lyriq battery-electric crossover. The Lyriq will enter production at the GM Spring Hill Assembly plant early next year and will begin arriving at U.S. dealers shortly after.
