The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited Regular Cab is no longer available in Brownstone Metallic exterior paint, GM Authority can confirm.
The Brownstone Metallic exterior paint for the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited is tagged with paint code GNK, and is no longer available to order on Regular Cab body configurations for the pickup truck. Currently, only the base-level GMC Sierra Pro trim level is available with the Regular Cab body configuration.
Normally, the Brownstone Metallic exterior paint is available on all trim levels for an extra $495. It’s currently unclear how many 2022 GMC Sierra Limited Regular Cab orders were processed with Brownstone Metallic paint, if any at all.
As GM Authority covered previously, the 2022 GMC Sierra Limited Regular Cab is also no longer available to order in Dark Sky Metallic paint. Dark Sky Metallic is tagged with paint code GJI, and was previously offered on all trim levels of the interim-model-year pickup.
As a reminder, the fully refreshed GMC Sierra 1500 was delayed due to a multitude of factors, including the ongoing global semi-conductor microchip shortage, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited is offered as a stopgap model between the pre-refresh 2021 model year and the fully refreshed 2022 model year, the latter of which is expected to debut later this month on October 21st.
The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited carries over most of the same features as the previous 2021 model year, with a few notable exceptions. For example, the base-level GMC Sierra 1SA trim level was renamed to GMC Sierra Pro. Additionally, the naturally aspirated 4.3L V6 LV3 gasoline engine was deleted from the engine lineup, as was the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L82 gasoline engine and six-speed automatic transmission (MYC).
Remaining engine options include the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2 V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. Transmission options include an 8-speed automatic and 10-speed automatic.

Another good color scrapped. I hope it stays available for the higher trims at least
I really liked this color. I was actually wanting this color when I buy my regular cab.
