The online configurator tool for the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited has officially gone live on the automaker’s website, allowing prospective customers to create their very own version of the full-size pickup.
As we reported back in July, GM decided to introduce a Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited variant for the 2022 model year, which will bridge the gap to the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 that debuted back in early September. Compared to the updated model, the Silverado 1500 Limited carries over most aspects of the pre-update 2021 model-year truck, including all the trim levels, options and exterior and interior colors. The refreshed model will still arrive for the 2022 model year, but these Limited models will come first.
Seeing as the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited is no different than the 2021 model, the launch of the configurator tool doesn’t really provide us with any information that we didn’t already know. Still, we went ahead and used the tool to create our own Silverado 1500, selecting the Crew Cab, Short Bed body style, along with the sport-inspired RST trim level. Our truck is also equipped with the 6.2L L87 V8 engine, four-wheel drive and Rally Edition package, which includes Black Silverado badging and trim nameplates, black Chevrolet tailgate lettering, Black rally stripes, 22-inch High Gloss Black wheels and Black dual exhaust tips, among more.
With the above-mentioned equipment applied, this truck would be priced from $62,245, including a $1,695 destination freight charge. The Rally Edition package is the most expensive option on this truck, carrying an MSRP of $5,375.
Production of the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited began at the GM Silao plant in Mexico on September 20th and at the GM Fort Wayne Assembly plant in Indiana on September 27th. Click here to access the configurator and build your own 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited.

Uggghhh… I checked a 2021 vs 2022 truck, same model & options, the 2022 model costs roughly 2000$ more than the 2021 model… 🙁
But the 2022 doesn’t have cheap plastic interior.
The increase is for the 2022 Limited (older) version, not for the upcoming & updated 2022 / 2023 (much later / next year version).
100% Accurate.
My 2021 TrailBoss LT Base Price was 50,600 plus 1595 Destination Fee
The 2022 TrailBoss LT Base Price is 52,500 plus $1695 Destination Fee

I am Seriously considering Trading my 2019 Colorado ZR2 for the Silverado ZR2 but on this Build Link ZR2 is not an option! Would like to see it added.
12/15/2021!! Dealers have the option today!
62k !!! Wow.
It’s just a half ton and not even a diesel.
Lol!!!
The time of the GMC ended after 2018, the design was excellent and classic, and its sales in the Gulf were wholesale because of the classic design and the emergence of the rear and front fenders. Now the design is bad and they enlarged its size. I do not know why every year they increase its size. This makes it heavy for rough places
2 large more and you know they were probably raising prices during the 21 run also
Just not big enough, flashy enough, nor expensive enough. They really need to crank it up a notch.
So this isn’t the updated Silverado with the new interior?
What’s crazy is the 2022 is the exact same truck as the 2021 except $2,000 more. I mean 2k more for what? ITS THE EXACT SAME TRUCK AND OPTIONS!!!!!
