2022 Buick Envision Gets Slight Drop In Price

The 2022 Buick Envision has received a slight price drop from 2021.

For the 2022 Buick Envision, the base Preferred trim level with front-wheel-drive will be $300 cheaper than it was previously, while the Preferred trim with FWD and the Sport Touring (ST) package will be $180 cheaper. The Essence FWD and AWD will also be $400 cheaper, while the Essence ST FWD and AWD will be $300 cheaper. The Avenir sees the biggest year-over-year price drop at $550 for both FWD and AWD models. All prices listed here include the $1,195 destination and freight charge.

As per the chart above, two trim levels have actually gone up in price: the Preferred AWD and Preferred ST AWD. This is because in order to select these two trims, buyers must also choose the $1,850 Comfort and Convenience Package – as per the configurator tool on Buick’s website. For reference, the Comfort and Convenience package includes the following equipment:

  • Hands-free power programmable liftgate with logo projection
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Remote vehicle starter system
  • In-vehicle Air Ionizer with Air Quality Indicator
  • 10.2″ diagonal Buick Infotainment System
  • 7-speaker enhanced audio system with amplifier

Compared to the 2021 model year, the 2022 Buick Envision offers revised exterior paint options, including the deletion of Dark Moon Metallic, and the addition of Sapphire Metallic. The latest 2022 model year also deletes the 18-inch aluminum with Bright Silver finish wheels option (RPO code RER) and adds new 18-inch aluminum wheels (RPO PZK).

Additionally, the 2022 Buick Envision deletes the In-Vehicle Air Ionizer system, which was previously included as standard on 2021 Buick Envision Essence and Avenir trim levels. The feature was also offered on Preferred trim levels with the Comfort and Convenience Package. Now, however, the feature is no longer available on any trim level. Lastly, the 2022 model year sees the introduction of expanded availability for the Continuous Damping Control suspension system.

The 2022 Buick Envision will continue to come equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The four-cylinder is paired with the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to either the front wheels as standard, or all four wheels as an available option.

The 2022 Buick Envision is produced exclusively at the GM Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, China.

  2. This really is one of the absolute classiest, best looking vehicles available at any price. That it’s only Made in China is unfortunate to say the least.

  3. What about inventory? Has the chip shortage and other issues with the Chinese economy adversely impacted production and delivery of the Envision to the US?

  4. Taking delivery of my new Envision ST today as the lease was up on my GMC Terrain SLT. The sporty ST looks great and includes 20 inch black wheels. For those of you upset it is made in China, be aware the Terrain is made in Mexico.
