General Motors has revealed the take rates for the various available exterior colors offered on the 2021 Corvette Stingray.
Of the twelve available exterior colors, Torch Red was by far the most popular, accounting for 5,171 cars of the 26,216-unit production run. Arctic White was second at 3,769 cars, followed by Red Mist at 3,476 cars. Black was also popular, accounting for 2,818 cars, while Rapid Blue continued to sway a large percentage of buyers, attracting 2,384 orders. Silver Flare and Elkhart Lake Blue were close by at 1,801 and 1,713 cars, respectively, followed by Sebring Orange Metallic (1,255 cars) Shadow Grey (1,111 cars) and Accelerate Yellow (839 cars). Zeus Bronze was the least popular at 509 cars.
The most popular paint colors for the 2021 Corvette Stingray are essentially identical to those for the 2020 model. The most popular color for the 2020 Corvette Stingray was Torch Red, followed by Arctic White in second. Black was the third most popular exterior color last year, but has now been displaced by Red Mist Metallic, which was one of two new exterior colors introduced for the 2021 model year – the other being Silver Flare Metallic. Just like this year, the least popular colors in 2020 were also Accelerate Yellow and Zeus Bronze.
The C8 Corvette Stingray will ditch three exterior colors for the 2022 model year, including Zeus Bronze Metallic, Shadow Gray Metallic, and Sebring Orange Tintcoat. All three will be replaced with new exterior paint options, including Hypersonic Gray Metallic, Amplify Orange Tintcoat and Caffeine Metallic.

“Most of the vehicles we’ve built have been sold orders personalized by their owners, so fresh colors help Corvette buyers showcase their individuality on road,” Chevy communications rep Trevor Thompkins said during the 2021 National Corvette Museum Bash event held earlier this year.
