General Motors has shared the first official photo of the 2023 Corvette Z06 without any camouflage covering its body panels.
The automaker shared a photo of a 2023 Corvette Z06 finished in the Silver Flare Metallic exterior color on Monday morning. The photo shows a front three-quarters angle of the new mid-engine supercar, revealing its redesigned, Corvette C8.R-inspired front fascia with larger air intakes, a black-painted “wishbone” side air intake element, pronounced front and rear wheel arches and new twin seven-spoke alloy wheels. Chevy did not share a photo of the vehicle’s rear end, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to get a glimpse of the new center-exit quad tip exhaust setup.
This car also does not appear to be equipped with the optional Z07 Performance Package, which adds the massive rear wing that GM Authority was the first to report on back in January of 2020, along with other go-fast goodies like a front splitter with dive planes, stickier summer rubber and lighter wheels. We’ll probably have to wait until the model’s official debut on October 26th to see a Z07-equipped Corvette Z06 without any camouflage on it.
As we reported previously, the heart of the 2023 Corvette C8 Z06 will be Chevy’s new naturally aspirated 5.5L LT6 V8 engine, which should be good for around 615 horsepower and close to 500 pound-feet of torque. Standout features for this engine include a flat-plane crankshaft, dual overhead cams and a sky-high redline of up to 9,000 rpm. Output will be routed to the rear wheels through a quick-shifting eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The 2023 Corvette Z06 will be built alongside the standard C8 Corvette Stingray at the GM Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky. Details on pricing, availability and options will be disclosed following its debut late next month.

I usually judge a car more on how it drives. My 2021 is fantastic to drive.
Low wing looks soo much better than the high wing
On the list and will order one as soon as I can.
Hot looking car, but I think I like the non-Z06 side vents better – appearancewise that is.
Looks very nice, clean and no bling and not over exotic.
NA 5.5 615hp 9,000 RPM with a dual clutch transmission is going to a force for the exotics.
Take the NSX with 600 plus hp vs the current Corvette with 495hp, beats the Corvette by a car… in the 1/4 mile. It has twin turbos on the v6. This 9k RPM NA is going to upset a few 200k cars for 1/2 the price.
Will they announce a ZO6 convertible model on 10-26-21?
Wonder how many of the new body features will be adopted on ALL 2023 Corvettes.
Good lord.
They take a design that’s already bloated and busy beyond belief and load it up with a bunch more doodads and make it even fatter. What the hell are people thinking?
Give it a rest, dude.
The c8 hasn’t really been my favorite car, I’d take a Camaro or a C7 any day over it, unless they allow you to tune it and dick with the ECU.
However this one looks very good design wise, but I’ll never be able to afford it,kinda digging those rims and the exhaust returning to the proper spot, hopefully GM allows you to tune it unlike the c8 stingray and full-size SUV’s don’t understand why they lock the ECU’s, pretty sure this happened with the L5P 2017 hd’s as well.
If GM got rid of that “feature”/limitation I wouldn’t mind getting a C8. If I buy a car I should do what I damn well please with it.
