The official online configurator for the 2022 Corvette Stingray is now live, giving fans and potential customers a chance to do a little digital window shopping.
The 2022 Corvette Stingray arrives as the third model year of the latest eighth-generation vehicle, introducing a few changes and updates over the preceding 2021 model year. Among these is the addition of three new exterior colors, namely Hypersonic Gray Metallic, Amplify Orange Tintcoat, and Caffeine Metallic. The three new colors replace Sebring Orange, Shadow Gray, and Zeus Bronze.
Further updates include the deletion of the 19-inch front and 20-inch rear 5-open-spoke Performance Pewter-painted aluminum wheels (RPO code 5DG), the addition of a new low-profile rear spoiler and front splitter, new Black Ground Effects, and a Visible Carbon Fiber door intake trim level. The High Wing Spoiler is also offered in visible carbon fiber.
Notably, the 2022 Corvette Stingray also introduces the new IMSA GTLM Championship Edition, a special edition model offered as a nod to Chevy’s championship-winning run in the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech Series. The 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition is based on the top 3LT trim level, and includes the Z51 Performance Package, as well as unique graphics that mimic the Corvette C8.R race cars. Further upgrades for the special edition models include yellow-painted brake calipers, Black-painted Trident alloy wheels, Carbon Flash exterior mirrors, Black side rockers, Black splash guards, GT2 seats, yellow seatbelts, and a custom-fitted car cover.
As GM Authority covered previously, production of the 2022 Corvette Stingray kicked off at the GM Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky earlier this week. What’s more, it’s believed that the Corvette C8 dealer markups seen in the past will go away as Chevrolet transitions to a new dealer allocation model. To be specific, the 2022 Corvette will be sold according to an Available Day Supply dealer allocation model based on the speed with which a model is sold, rather than the historic volume sold.

When will the configuration build and price be available on the Canadian site? I would have thought they would be released together?
Really liking the caffeine color.
Right on. I probably wouldn’t choose that color based on the name – but seeing it in the configurator looks pretty good. But I’m still a bit partial to my sebring orange
any idea when build and price available for Canada?
Out of all the colors, why display the least popular color that anyone woud pick . . . like < 1% ?
Crap brown?
How do you know it’s the least popular – it’s new for 2022. We’ve been surprised before.
Well, just looking at the past history of popular colors, browns consistently sit at or near the bottom.
No brown for me, where’s the chrome wheels??
Agree, wish they had chrome! When and if I get mine, I might have them chromed
