The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban usher in a few changes and updates over the preceding 2021 model-year vehicles, which introduced a brand-new generation for both nameplates. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the wheel options no longer offered by the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban.
The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban are no longer offered with the following wheel options (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- 22-inch Bright Chrome wheels (SF0)
- 22-inch 6-spoke Midnight Silver machine-faced aluminum wheels with Chrome accents (SEW)
- 22-inch Black Gloss wheels with Chrome inserts (SHD)
- 22-inch Carbon Flash Metallic wheels (SEZ)
- 22-inch 6-Spoke Low Gloss Black Wheels with Machined Accents (SEV)
These five wheel options no longer offered with the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban will replaced by one new 20-inch wheel design and four new 22-inch wheel designs.
Further updates for the 2022 model year include the deletion of two exterior paint colors, namely Shadow Gray Metallic, tagged with paint code GJI, and Graywood Metallic, tagged with paint code GS6. The two deleted exterior colors will be replaced by three new hues, specifically Auburn Metallic, tagged with paint code G48, Evergreen Gray Metallic, tagged with paint code GED, and Dark Ash Metallic, tagged with paint code G6M.
Further updates include introduction of the new Sport Performance Package (RPO code WBL). Offered as an optional extra on RST trim levels, the Sport Performance Package includes the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, Magnetic Ride Control suspension (RPO code Z92), and Dual Twin Polished Stainless-Steel Exhaust tips (RPO code N10).
Inside, the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban now come equipped with a new 12-inch Digital Driver Information Center (RPO code UDV), which is included as standard on LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country trim levels (not available for LS trim levels).

I wish GM would offer an 18″ wheel option on their high end models. 20″ wheels are marginal for off road, 22″ wheels are not supposed to be taken off road. 20″ and 22″ tires are more expensive and ride rougher than 18s.
And, 22in rims dent easily.
I agree on the 18″ option. Tires are readily available virtually anywhere, aren’t as expensive as the others, ride better, and in many cases look better.
Je ne comprends pas pour des véhicule de luxe comme le Tahoe que le pneu de rechange soit toujours sous le véhicule à l’extérieure aux intempéries alors qu’il pourrait être facilement accessible par l’intérieure comme le grand Cherokee !J
Looking forward to seeing the updates coming for 2022.
They could lose ALL the black wheels as far as I’m concerned. Worst idea ever to hit the after market industry at least. If you don’t like black wheels you’re pretty much SOL.
