The 2022 Chevy Spark sees very few changes and updates, including three new exterior colors: Blue Glow, Nitro Yellow, and Crimson. Here’s our first look at the new Crimson hue.
Assigned color code GFM and touch-up paint code WA-294F, Crimson is one of four dark hues available for the 2022 Chevy Spark, along with Mosaic Black, Nightfall Gray, and Blue Glow. Additionally, Crimson is one of eight metallic paint options on offer.
In all, the 2022 Chevy Spark offers ten exterior color options:
- Silver Ice
- Summit White
- Mosaic Black
- Crimson
- Cayenne Orange
- Red Hot
- Blue Glow
- Nitro Yellow
- Nightfall Gray
- Mystic Blue
The new Crimson color is included in the base price of the 2022 Chevy Spark, and is available in conjunction with all trim levels and interior color combinations:

- ACTIV (1SG, 1SH)
- 2LT (1SE, 1SF)

- Jet Black

As previously reported by GM Authority, 2022 Chevy Spark units entered production on June 7th at the GM Changwon plant in South Korea. Very few units have reached dealer lots, and models in the Crimson exterior color appear to be almost non-existent at dealers.
With COVID-19 complications still putting a strain on production, it’s unclear exactly when buyers can expect to see stable inventory and a broad range of available colors at the retail level. Of course, availability will vary by dealer, so check with yours for complete details.
Notably, the only other changes to the 2022 Chevy Spark were the deletion of three exterior colors, including Passion Fruit, Toasted Marshmallow, Caribbean Blue.

Will tiny Spark one day be in league with old school FIAT 500, MINI, and Beatle especially in the developing world? Few major non European automakers make small cars anymore due to a decline in popularity and profitability but GM’s Spark hangs on looking sharp for it’s second generation midcycle refresh.
Spark isn’t my personal budget dream ride but who ever thought GM would make one of the best and most popular A Segment cars available?
Nice color. I think if I didn’t have certain needs in a vehicle, I’d like the Spark. It looks like it could be a lot of fun in a Go-Kart kind of way.
