The 2022 Chevy Blazer adds two new exterior colors to its palette: Nitro Yellow Metallic and Blue Glow Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new blue hue.
Assigned color code GHT and touch-up paint code WA-611G, Blue Glow is the only blue hue available for the 2022 Chevy Blazer, as Bright Blue Metallic and Midnight Blue Metallic have been deleted for the 2022 model year. Blue Glow is also one of six metallic colors available for the Camaro-inspired crossover.
Notably, the Blazer offers 11 exterior color options:
- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
- Red Hot
- Silver Ice Metallic
- Summit White
- Black
- Nitro Yellow Metallic
- Pewter Metallic
- Blue Glow Metallic
- Iron Gray Metallic
- Cayenne Orange Metallic
- Cherry Red Tintcoat
The new Blue Glow Metallic color is included in the base price of the 2022 Blazer, and is available with all three interior color combinations. However, the new blue hue is exclusively offered on the range-topping Premier model.
2022 Chevrolet Blazer Trim Levels:
- LT
- RS
- Premier
2022 Chevrolet Blazer Interior Color Combinations:
- Jet Black
- Dark Galvanized with Light Galvanized
- Jet Black with Maple Sugar
The Start of Regular Production (SORP) for the 2022 Blazer at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant – located in Coahuila, Mexico – has been set for September 6th. However, recent parts shortages will push that date back to September 27th. As such, 2022 model year units have not yet reached dealer lots. In fact, production of the Blazer has been idled since August 23rd, which marked the end of production of the 2021 model year. The circumstance has caused Blazer U.S. inventory to plummet to just eight days as of the first week of August, as GM Authority exclusively reported.
Notable changes to the 2022 Chevy Blazer include the deletion of the L and LS models, resulting in the deletion of the base 2.5L LCV I4 engine and revised availability of the 2.0L LSY Turbo I4 and 3.6L LGX V6. There’s also a new Black two-tone roof option for LT and RS models, new wheel options, and exterior refinements to the Premier model, along with other updates.

We bought a 2020 Equinox in pacific blue almost the same color very nice.
I was looking at a’57’ bel air and it has an elongated v instead of the bowtie which I think needs help.Put the V under the bowtie at least and class it up.
The V stood for V-8. Does not apply here.
And, that statement of fact earned you at least three downticks.
Dude you really stress how many people like your comments lol. I see you complain about that a lot do you seek validation from people online often?
My good sir I have a question for you. Would your name by any chance have to do with the greatest movie ever made Grizzly from 1976?
Not at all. My – for lack of a better term – spirit animal is the grizzly. Easy going, and interesting beasts.
Still awesome though. I dig the name. If you haven’t seen that movie check it out if you ever get a chance it is kinda cheesy but it’s a fun watch.
Oh heck,it would still be cool..
How about MADE IN AMERICA!!??
It is Made in America.
North America to be more specific
Would everyone try and be more consistent on this matter. If you don’t like U.S. bound vehicles made in Mexico, complain about all the vehicles built in Mexico: Here is a list of brands that builds vehicles bound for the U.S. in Mexico:
Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Infiniti, Hyundai, Kia, Chevy, GMC, Ford, Jeep, RAM, Fiat.
Peter he said made in America who do you know that says the word America and think of Canada or Mexico? That’s right nobody he didn’t say North America he clearly said America. And why would he complain about other manufacturers when this article is about the blazer? So you want people for now on to say about any vehicle they don’t like made in another country to make sure they add every single car that isn’t made here? Lol good grief
They are made in Mexico and Canada
I hope they start producing these soon can’t wait for my order
If you don’t mind me asking what trim level and color do you have on order?
I have always liked the Blues that GM make.
Cool thanks for letting us know that.
Bring Blazer production back to the USA.
