General Motors has launched the online configurator tool for the 2022 Buick Encore GX subcompact crossover.
The configurator for the 2022 Buick Encore GX allows users to create their own version of the crossover, allowing them to choose their preferred trim level, exterior and interior colors, packages and optional extras. At the end, the user can download their vehicle specification and take it to a dealership to place an order, or they can use GM’s Shop. Click. Drive. tool to search for similarly equipped vehicles within a certain specified distance.
We went ahead and played around with the configurator to show users what can be done with the tool. Our example vehicle is based on the range-topping Essence trim level and features a Cinnabar Metallic exterior color and Signet with Ebony accents interior. We also selected the $1,935 Advanced Technology Package, which includes an eight-inch Buick Infotainment System with Navigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Park Assist, HD Surround Vision and Head-Up Display. We added the $1,500 Experience Buick Package as well, which adds a panoramic tilt-sliding power moonroof and 18-inch Medium Android High Gloss wheels with chrome inserts. Our example crossover would ring in at $36,120, including a $1,195 destination freight charge.
The 2022 Buick Encore GX features minor changes. For starters, the crossover introduces four new exterior paint color options, including Cinnabar Metallic (GFM), Sapphire Metallic (GGK), Sunset Glow Metallic (GHD), and Rosewood Metallic (GHL), while dropping five others. It also now offers a new Safety Package II as an optional extra, which adds more active safety features including Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. Engine options for the 2022 Buick Encore GX will continue to include the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine and the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine.
