A very tasty 1955 Chevy pickup 3100 just hit the net, offered as a lovely restomod in a no-reserve auction with a bespoke exterior, interior, and a modern Vortec powerplant under the hood.
Let’s start with the exterior, where we find this 1955 Chevy pickup rocking deep black paint offset by red accents and highly polished chrome trim. In true restomod fashion, the Chevy pickup is equipped with aftermarket LED lighting, while the wheel spec throws on a set of staggered U.S. Mags with polished lips. The new rollers are wrapped in Firestone Firehawk tires, while under the broad spokes, we spot new slotted and cross-drilled brakes.
In back, the Chevy pickup was fitted with stained wood slats and polished cargo runners, plus a polished fuel cap mounted in center of the floor.
The custom goodies continue into the cabin space, where the black and red color combo is repeated with black TMI leather upholstery for the seats, and a red finish for the doors, dash, steering wheel, and stitching.
Naturally, the build also incorporates modern infotainment and comfort features, such as an Alpine stereo system, Vintage Air A/C, and a set of Dakota Digital gauges.
Moving under the hood, this 1955 Chevy pickup runs a 5.3L Vortec V8 engine, which drives the rear wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission with a column-mounted shifter. The underhood appearance is enhanced with a painted intake cover and matching valve covers, while the V8 exhales through new headers and a dual exhaust treatment with Magnaflow mufflers.
Keeping it shiny side up is “C4 Corvette-style” suspension from Flat Out Engineering, including Aldan American coilovers.
Now, this 1955 Chevy pickup is up for grabs on Bring A Trailer. The current highest bid as of this writing is set at $27,500, with six days left in the auction. The auction has no reserve. The odometer reads just 344 miles, although the actual mileage is unknown.
