Low-Mileage 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe Up For Sale: Video

Produced for the 2006 through 2010 model years, the Pontiac Solstice was a short-lived two-door sports car offered as a sort of “last hurrah” for the Pontiac brand prior to its discontinuation in April of 2009. Now, this rare, low-mileage 2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe is up for sale in a new online auction listing.
Outside, the Pontiac Solstice production model looks a good deal like the Solstice concept presented in 2002, which isn’t all too common a practice these days. This particular example is draped in Mysterious Black paint, complemented by 18-inch chrome wheels. Up top is a removable targa roof section.
The interior continues the exterior color theme with Ebony leather upholstery, which is accented with splashes of red in the foot wells, plus polished trim bits for the gauges, vents, and shifter surround. This particular Pontiac Solstice is also equipped with a Monsoon audio system comprised of seven speakers
Making the go is a 2.4L engine, rated at 177 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. Output drives the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
This particular 2009 Pontiac Solstice is a somewhat rare find. Although General Motors built 65,724 units of the Solstice, just 1,266 Solstice Coupes were produced. What’s more, this model is one of just 388 examples painted in Mysterious Black, per the listing description, which cites information pulled from solsticeforum.com. What’s more, this particular example is a one-owner car with a mere 5,700 miles on the clock, plus a clean Carfax history with no accidents reported.
All told, this vehicle looks to be in pretty good condition, as evidenced by the pictures. There are a few imperfections, like small scrapes to the bottom of the front bumper and a few rock chips, but overall, it looks very well kept.
As of this writing, the highest bid of 15 placed is set at $12,000, with five days left in the auction. This 2009 Pontiac Solstice is located in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

If this were a GXP it’d fetch quite a lot of money.
If it was a stick it would fetch more.. this is the most common color with the most common transmission.
Base coupe with an auto and most common color. It won’t set any sales records.
If it’s not a GPX forget it unless you don’t care about being at speed when you merge onto a highway, Fiero redo no more.
1266 Solstice coupes were built? I didn’t know there were any coupes built. I thought they were all convertibles.
I had a 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP convertible. I really loved that car. It was a shame the economy collapsed and GM shut down Pontiac. That car was just getting started.
The manual transmission is the whole reason to get this car, Aisin ar5 5 speed transmission is awesome in this car and without it then it’s nothing special. Pass on it if it has the automatic
Bought a gxp from a mercades dealer 4 years ago with 80,000 on it Over 115000 on it now. Fun and fast car. Ac still blows cold and car blows most other cars of the road. Great car shouldnt have been cancelled.
