Two months after releasing details on the refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave, General Motors has just officially announced the full-size crossover’s latest updates in Mexico, one of the markets in which the Tri-Shield brand is present, along with China, the United States and Canada.
During a recent meeting with the local media, the automaker confirmed that the 2022 Buick Enclave will arrive in Mexico later this year, a few weeks after its launch in the U.S. market. The 2022 Enclave will complete Buick’s crossover range update following the launch of the Encore GX and the all-new second-generation Envision.
“Since the beginning of last year, we began to see the evolution in design and equipment of Buick SUVs, and now it’s the turn of the largest one in the family, which is also one of the pioneers in the premium SUV segment,” said Marketing Manager for Buick at GM Mexico, Wilberto del Ángel, in a statement. “With the new 2022 Buick Enclave, we elevated the design and driving experience that customers expect in a premium SUV,” he added.
The 2022 Buick Enclave features a completely updated front fascia, giving it a more striking appearance thanks to the latest evolution of Buick’s Sculptural Beauty design language. The most obvious changes are the new, larger grille and redesigned headlight clusters that seem to give the vehicle a different personality, with a futuristic, more exclusive and sophisticated look.
The crossover’s side profile remains virtually identical, with minor trim changes, while the rear is updated with a new light structure. For its part, the cabin also receives minor updates that include a new steering wheel similar to those in the brand’s other recent products in addition to the latest generation of the automaker’s infotainment system integrating wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as Amazon Alexa.
The refreshed 2022 Buick Enclave will be officially launched in Mexico during the last quarter of the year, when GM’s Mexican subsidiary will release all the details regarding trim levels, configuration and pricing. The Enclave represents a key model to increase competitiveness and renew the brand’s image in North America, where it currently serves as its flagship vehicle.
