Chevrolet has a long, storied history behind it, but that history wouldn’t mean much without enthusiasts to celebrate it. Now, Chevy fans can drink in all that Bow Tie goodness in the second annual Cruisin’ the USA in Your Chevrolet heritage experience, a weeklong event filled with activities, trivia, and a look at some of the Bow Tie brand’s most-famous models and nameplates, both past and present.
Playing host to the event is automotive influencer and content creator, Emelia Hartford. We’ve covered some of Hartford’s videos in the past, including her quest to build a twin-turbo C8 Chevrolet Corvette putting down more than 1,000 horsepower.
“The inaugural Cruisin’ the USA in Your Chevrolet originated as an alternative space for car enthusiasts to celebrate automotive’s deep-rooted history when it couldn’t be done in person,” said vice president of Marketing, Chevrolet, Steve Majoros. “This year, we’re celebrating by sharing stories through the eyes of our customers, fans and employees from around the world – because people are the heart of everything we do at Chevy.”
Just a few of the stand out activities include trivia on some of Chevrolet’s most-famous engineers and designers, as well as trivia on some of the brand’s most-famous trucks. The event will also include a ride-along with Hartford in the all-electric Chevy Bolt EUV, a look at the Chevy E-10 concept vehicle, a profile on Pinky “Mr. Chevy” Randall, a tour of Al Oppenheiser’s Chevy collection, and more.
To help promote the event, Chevrolet is offering enthusiasts a chance to download a high-quality printable poster. Find the poster on the image sharing service Pinterest. The poster is animated, and includes a selection of Chevy’s iconic models, as well as Hartford in a racing suit.
The second annual Cruisin’ the USA in Your Chevrolet heritage experience is set to take place on Chevrolet’s various social media channels starting today, August 16th, and running through August 21st.
