Chevy Express Discount Takes $3,000 Off Price In August 2021

A familiar Chevy Express discount reduces the price of the van by $3,000, and is available for both Cargo and Passenger models during August 2021. Low-interest financing is also available for 2021 Express models.

A less generous offer is available for the Express’s corporate twin – the GMC Savana. For those who may not be familiar with the products, both vehicles ride on the GM GMT 610 platform, and offer identical powertrain options, which include the 4.3L LV1 V6, 6.0L L96 Vortec V8, 6.0L LC8 Vortec V8, and Duramax turbo-diesel 2.8L LWN I4 engines. Notably, both 6.0-liter eight-cylinder engine options have been deleted for the 2021 model year, and replaced by the 6.6-liter L8T V8 engine.

While it is currently unclear when or if a next-generation Express will reach the market, we do know that the current model will continue to be sold through the 2023 calendar year. Meanwhile, GM unveiled its new commercial electric vehicle division called BrightDrop, and production of its first model called the EV600 will take place at the GM CAMI plant in Canada.

To clarify, the above Chevrolet Express discount offers are applicable to 2020 and 2021 models, including Passenger and Cargo variants, in both 2500 and 3500 forms.

  1. How do you get to take advantage of the GMC Savana and Chevy Express discounts when you can’t get the van you ordered the Monday after Thanksgiving of 2020 which the build date was suppose to be, first May 10th then moved to July 27th 2021 and still haven’t heard if its been built or not. I hope a lot of American corporations have learned their lesson not to depend on other countries to make their parts that are desperately needed. It’s sad driving by practically empty lot dealerships. Never expected to see this in America.

    2. And the best part is these vans don’t use nearly as many microchips as other models (at lease the ones that they cannot get at the moment). I ordered mine a few months back and dealer just called and said I would be lucky to get mine spring 2022. Fantastic. So by spring 2023 I should have it then, better be a gasoline engine if not they can keep it.

  2. Someone please clue the marketing people in. There haven’t been any passenger vans in inventory for many months. They may as well make the rebate $10,000. I think gm put the vans in the witness protection program. Dealerships look like ghost towns. I wonder if sales people are being laid off in droves.

  3. I work for a dealer in commercial and fleet sales. this consumer cash rebate is nothing new, GM has been running it for well over a year!!!! not to mention you also get the Business choice rebate if you apply an up fit to the van. that being said van stock is bad, only getting one or 2 here and there, usually sold before they even show up.

we had 6 vans, fleet orders placed in November of 2020, build week was going to be this month, got pushed back to November 2021 then Canceled!!! we are told they will be replaced with 2022 but who knows.

thankfully I work for a dealer that was ready for this years production issues and we were able to have inventory to sell. although inventory is light and we only have a few commercial units on the lot at any given time we are selling them as fast as they come in.

from the start of covid till now my dealer had not closed or fired any one due to the virus.

    1. As I said this has been running for well over a year. maybe I did not make it clear GM almost never changes the rebates on the Express. the promo may read that right now but they will keep the rebate next month and change the date.

I have been doing commercial sales for just a little over 7 years and I can still remember every dollar amount the consumer cash has been because it almost never changes. $2,200, $1,200, $3,500 and now $3,000. regardless of the amount of inventory on the ground this rebate a constant and never really changes to get buyers in the door.
