The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban are the second model years of the all-new fifth-generation Tahoe and twelfth-generation Suburban, arriving with a few changes and updates over the 2021 model year. Among these is the deletion of two exterior paint colors.
The two exterior paint options deleted with the introduction of the 2022 Chevy Tahoe and 2022 Chevy Suburban are Shadow Gray Metallic, tagged with paint code GJI, and Graywood Metallic, tagged with paint code GS6.
The two deleted paint options are replaced by three new colors, namely Auburn Metallic (paint code G48), Evergreen Gray Metallic (GED), and Dark Ash metallic (G6M).

You guys talk about the Tahoe/Yukon way too much. They are overpriced grocery getter mama vehicles.
You say that when 3 row crossovers are littering many grocery lots, yet they don’t get painted with the same brush?
It must be a stupid trend… Back in the day people made fun of station wagons, then they made fun of minivans, then traditional SUVs like the S10 Blazer and Ford Explorer got made fun of, the Tahoe and Expedition got made fun of to. It seems that no matter how useful a vehicle is it gets made fun of… Even though my wife owns a 2019 Buick Enclave that handles, rides, has a better interior, has more power, Better emissions…Then any 90’s Buick I can think of even the Roadmaster wasn’t this nice and powerful and it the Roadmaster sucked down gas like a drunk at happy hour. Sedans where cool when we had the big ones that you could fit stuff in like a Ford Crown Victoria or Chevy Caprice the new sedans are a waste of money… Four door cars with tiny trunks that you can’t fit anything in your head hits the back of the roof headliner. What we need are small sedans again like Neons, Caviler, that you could drive to work and they sip fuel… Please no Camry’s with fake vents.
But….you cant get one! I have a Tahoe on order from my local dealer since March and we don’t have a Vin number / build date yet.
G48 is the same paint code for the 2022 Corvette color, Amplify Orange. Are we getting a factory orange Suburban/Tahoe?
Why isn’t there just a normal silver color for the Tahoe?
I agree. What ever happened to silver suburbans. It seem like GM has no imagination when it comes to Suburban colors. All they usually have is Black or some shades of Black, White or some White tint, Blue or some shades of Blue, Red or some shades of Red. The 2021 Cherry Red Tint Coat was a refreshing change. How about some more upbeat colors, or does GM just make these cars for Doctors, Lawyers, and Government Officials?
The only 2021 Suburbans I can find are the Z71 and the High Country models with the 7 passenger interior. I have been trying to find an 8 seat Premier with the rear seat entertainment system and no sunroof.
When can we see the colors since my order in May is now a 22 and my color is being disconnected.
What color options is pictured here ?
