2022 Chevy Camaro Redline Edition Gets Standard Lower Grille With Red Hot Accents

The 2022 Chevy Camaro Redline Edition comes equipped with a variety of aesthetic upgrades for the exterior and interior, adding a custom look to the latest Bow Tie brand sports car. Among these is a standard Lower Grille with Red Hot Accents for the front end, tagged with RPO code RZB.

Just last week, GM Authority reported on the accessories equipped by the 2022 Chevy Camaro Redline Edition. Now, we have learned that the Black Lower Grille with Red Hot Inserts styling upgrade will be included in the Redline Edition package when equipped by 1LT, 2LT, and LT1 trim levels. The Black Lower Grille with Red Hot Inserts styling upgrade is not included in the Redline Edition package when equipped by 1SS or 2SS trim levels. Pricing for the Black Lower Grille with Red Hot Inserts is set at $370.

As covered previously, the 2022 Chevy Camaro Redline Edition package also includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • 20-inch Black-painted aluminum wheels with Red accents (SRI/58E)
  • Black Camaro fender badge with Red outline (CG6)
  • Redline Edition graphics (VUP)
  • Red seat belt color (3F9)
  • Red knee pads (2F5)
  • Premium carpeted floor mats (VYW)

Additional accessories include the Premium carpeted Camaro logo floor mats with Red edging ($160), the Knee Pad Interior Trim Kit in Adrenaline Red ($325), and the Interior Door Trim Kit in Red Hot ($275).

The Chevy Camaro Redline Edition package was introduced at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, then discontinued with the 2019-model-year changeover. However, the package was later reintroduced for the 2020-model-year Chevy Camaro.

The Redline Edition package is offered on all trim levels for the 2022 Chevy Camaro, except for the base-level LS and range-topping ZL1. Production of the 2022 Chevy Camaro kicked off at the GM Lansing Grand River assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan last week.

  1. Wow, a radical red lower grill……….what amazing things will GM conjure up next?????? How about new styling for the forgotten Camaro………………………If you pushed it to challenge a Vette , they both would be better cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. 300 buck’s for red paint!!!!!!! give me a break GM. Ya can’t slap red paint on stuff, try to make people pay for it and expect a car brand to survive. Or are people just that dumb? I don’t think so.

  2. Dodge Charger you get those free lip protectors if you ask the dealer not to throw them away during prep. C’mon man.

  3. Yeah it’s a shame that the Camaro is all talk and no delivery! I ordered one in February of this year and it still has not hit the production line, and the dealership has no answers. It is not reassuring knowing that the company that can’t produce a 2021 model ordered nearly 7 months still ago has the energy, resources, and unmitigated gall to brag about the 2022 model year. If GM keeps up the good work we will be buying the stock for less than $1 per share!

    2. Not sure about the Camaro but the Mustang plant was closed for 3 months giving chip priority to trucks and SUV which is where both companies make their money.

  4. Under Mary(yogi)Barra leadership, chop off the head and the the poison away. GM, (goodbye money) or giant morphadite , you choose. Now you know why the Asian and European manufactures are doing well.

    1. The GM slaughter and bankruptcy happened way before Mary. Does the name Roger Smith ring a bell under the largest loss of any company on the planet at the time… That’s where GM was really destroyed. A succession of bureaucrats who couldn’t care less about the customer.

If you put your misogyny aside, Mary is hands down, the best leader at GM in the last 50 years. Keep in mind that GM is a much smaller company now. Maybe too small to survive in the long-term under the upcoming onslaught of Chinese competitors.

  5. The once iconic Camaro is now a lame 2 door lack luster of what it use to be. BMW M3 and M4, Nissan 340 Z, Ford Focus R, Infiniti G80, Mustang and Challenger, have surpassed or caught up to the Camaro. Camaro or ZL1 are the only 2 options with no in between.
Don’t get me wrong, 455hp is great but other manufacturers are surpassing 500hp, 550hp, and 575hp in smaller cars and in SUVs. Every SUV wants to race a Camaro…that alone tells you they have no respect. Mustang and Challenger race only to show off their hp ratings. No respect… Mustang GT500 races Corvettes not Camaros, outcome already known. Same for Hellcats.
I’m a Camaro guy, I have one, and every post we see here from gm is decals, paint schemes, wheel packakes, and exhaust tips while Alpha Romero gets 505hp. MT takes the ATS-v and puts it up against the Giulio Quad, not the Camaro….

Come on gm, make the Camaro respectful again and jump the hp to 550 or 575 and quit trying to sell it with decals…

    1. love the sarcasm … if GM isn’t going to build a REAL Camaro .. they should just quit. at least FORD (Found On Road Dead, ~~ Fix Or Repair Daily) puts some effort into the Moooostang .

  7. I’m thinking of adding the red hot lower grille to my white 2021 LT1 to match my red calibers. I go back in forth between the gloss black which would match my carbon flash wheels and the red hot grille which I think will look better than the RS grille I have with chrome accents.

  9. At the cost factor how do you compare a camaro to a mustang gt500 or a dodge hellcat which both run in the 80 to 120k range ? If im gonna spend that much I’ll buy a vette and baby the crap out of it not racing a p.o.s. dodge. Besides people are trading those cars in six months after they buy them because they didn’t realize the power these cars had under the hood , sometimes you just have to leave the old days behind pops!

  10. Does anyone have an idea when the 2022 Camaro convertible will start being produced. Supposedly the coupe has started production but not the convertible. Like Richard who previously posted earlier,
I also ordered a 2022 SS convertible months ago. The dealership took my deposit and I have not heard from them since.
Maybe I bought myself a Christmas present.

    1. They canceled the convertible for the 2022 year they said maybe in 2023

  11. Lol, too many “tough men” on here crying about “woke” have nothing to do with Camaro production, in which it was selling well with the LT1 package before the shutdowns. I see an effort being put into it as I hope it’s successful before GM decides to pull the plug on all rwd ICE cars within the next 2 years.

  12. The value of GM stock fell by more than $15 since early June. Just a “modest” -23% correction for current “non-delusional” GM leadership.
