The 2022 Cadillac XT6 adds two new exterior colors to its palette: Latte Metallic and Rosewood Metallic. Here’s a detailed look at the new Rosewood hue.
Assigned color code GCK and touch-up paint code WA-627G, Rosewood Metallic is one of two red color options available for the luxury crossover, with the other being Infrared Tintcoat. It’s worth noting that most of the other exterior paint options for the XT6 are rather subtle, and could be described as neutral. Rosewood Metallic is also one of six metallic exterior color options available for the 2022 model year.
In total, there are eight available colors for the 2022 Cadillac XT6, including:
- Crystal White Tricoat
- Latte Metallic
- Satin Steel Metallic
- Stellar Black Metallic
- Rosewood Metallic
- Wilder Metallic
- Dark Moon Blue Metallic
- Infrared Tintcoat
Notably, Satin Steel Metallic is the only exterior color option included in the base price of the luxury crossover, with all other colors carrying an additional cost. The new Rosewood Metallic color carries an additional cost of $625.
It is also available in conjunction with all trim levels and interior color combinations.
2022 Cadillac XT6 Trim Levels:
- Luxury (1SA, 1SB)
- Premium Luxury (1SC, 1SD)
- Sport (1SF)
2022 Cadillac XT6 Interior Color Combinations:
- Jet Black
- Cirrus with Dark Titanium
- Cirrus with Jet Black
- Dark Auburn with Jet Black
- Maple Sugar with Jet Black
As of this writing, dealer inventory of 2022 Cadillac XT6 models is sparse due to the ongoing microchip shortage, which has impacted the GM Spring Hill factory in Tennessee that assembles the XT6. While there are 2022 XT6 units already on dealer lots, it does not look like models finished in the Latte Metallic hue are currently available. We recommend checking with a dealer about models coated in the new Rosewood Metallic paint.
Prospective buyers may be interested to know that the 2022 XT6 receives other minor changes and updates such as new wheel options, a Brembo brake option, and more.

Not a fan of that color with all the blacked out stuff going on. In fact, with all the black it looks terrible to me. Oh well, I’m not about to buy one, so doesn’t matter. But talking about colors, I just went through some old Cadillac stuff I’ve saved over the years. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s when I was fresh in the auto business, Cadillac had little paper hand outs with all the exterior and interior colors. Looking at them, I realized that they used to offer so many more color options and then add in the two-tone and you had a lot of choices. Also had many more interior colors to choose from. Not any more.
The leasing craze and resale values are the main reasons for the black interiors. Some manufacturers may offer options on the seating surface only, not including the sides or backs of the seats. This is all due to staining from foods and coffee. Saves money on dealer prep as well. The main reason that I stepped up for the 3LT trim on my 2020 C8 was to get the Burgandy interior. Anything but black, grey, or tan. I really miss the navy blue interior with a white exterior.
I think that this new Rosewood color is beautiful and would look even nicer with more chrome.
When Hertz had a big sale (was it last year?), I looked at the Cadillacs in my area. Every single one had an all black interior. I can’t believe they can sell them like that in the Sunbelt, but if that’s all that’s available for lease….
The first manufacturer to move away from the trend could pick up some market share, at a cost of more complex assembly.
Rob: I agree with you. The thing about what you said that sticks out to me is this: If the black hides so much as we know it does, just think about how dirty some of the interiors really are? The two things I like about lighter interiors is that they stay cooler and that the dirt shows up more. Thus, I do a better job of keeping my car clean. haha.
But yes, I’ve always loved the white with navy blue combo. I do think maybe if I saw this Rosewood color in person and with chrome, maybe I’d like it.
