2022 Cadillac XT6 Configurator Now Live

The online configurator tool for the 2022 Cadillac XT6 has officially gone live on the luxury automaker’s website, allowing users to customize their own version of the mid-size three-row crossover.

We visited Cadillac.com and experimented with the newly launched configurator ourselves, creating the 2022 Cadillac XT6 seen here. Our example car is a Sport trim level, which unfortunately has late availability for the 2022MY. It’s finished in the new Rosewood Metallic exterior color and has the optional Cirrus leather interior upholstery color with mini-perforated inserts. We also enhanced the exterior appearance of the vehicle a bit with the available Onyx Package, which adds various gloss black exterior parts, including a gloss black grille, bodyside moldings, front fascia applique, rear license plate applique and exhaust bezels, along with 20-inch gloss black painted wheels.

Our example vehicle is also equipped with the optional Technology Package, which adds an eight-inch Driver Information Center display, a color Head-Up Display, HD Surround Vision, a Surround Vision Recorder, a Rear Camera Mirror with washer, Rear Pedestrian Alert and Automatic Parking Assist with braking. Completing the package is the Driver Assist Package, which adds Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Seat Belt Tightening, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking and Reverse Automatic Braking. It’s worth pointing out that our example vehicle would not come equipped with wireless phone charging, the configurator indicates, due to the global semiconductor shortage.

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 offers the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine as standard, which is rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. The naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine is also offered and is rated at 310 horsepower at 6,700 rpm and 271 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. Both engines will mate to a GM nine-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.

Production of the 2022 Cadillac XT6 will take place at the GM Spring Hill Assembly plant in Tennessee. The configurator tool can be accessed at this link.

    2. I say it needs rear wheel drive and a truck frame. Then add the V8.

  2. ……no it doesn’t.

  3. It needs a different rear end ratio. Like a 3:09. For better mileage. The Mileage with a 9 speed trans is terrible. We struggle to get mid 20’s on our 2020. My old Park Avenues w a 3.8, and a 4 spd. Got almost 30 mpg. Something is wrong here.

  4. If it had a turbo v6, I would buy. Aviator and Audi/others have the hp needed for a luxury SUV. I hope Cadillac people read these responses…

  5. Has anyone seen rosewood metallic up close? Is it more of a brown undertone to the red, or a true red? All online photos are showing more of a brownish red tone

    1. Definitely can see the brown underlying the reddish hue
