These Two 2021 Cadillac Escalade 22-inch Wheels Are Widely Available Again

Two of the optional 22-inch wheels for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade have been re-added to the full-size SUV’s order book after they were removed earlier this year.

Both the 22-inch 12-Spoke Chrome alloy wheels (RPO code SET) and the 22-inch 12-Spoke Gloss Black alloy wheels (RPO SSX) returned to the 2021 Cadillac Escalade order book this week. These wheels cost $1,995 to equip and are available as optional equipment on all Escalade trim levels. The SET wheels are also included with the Radiant Package on Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum trims, while the SSX wheels come with the Onyx Package on the Sport and Sport Platinum trims.

Another 22-inch wheel that was previously unavailable to order, the 22-inch Multi-Spoke Polished alloy wheel with Dark Android Gloss finish (RPO SEY) were also re-added to the full-size SUV’s order books last week.

As we reported back in January, all LPO-level, dealer-installed 22-inch GM wheels were at one point unavailable to order. Our sources later told us the shortage was related to shipping and importation delays, as opposed to production setbacks, and that the wheels would return to the order books after they cleared customs.

The automaker was at one point flying in some wheels from their production location in China instead of bringing them in on container ships to help remedy the shortage and prevent further delays. However, it was limited in how many wheels it could fly in due to restrictions on space and weight for air cargo, so the wheels remained hard to come by for some time.

With this change, all optional 22-inch wheels that were originally offered on the 2021 Cadillac Escalade have returned to the SUV’s order books. Similarly, other optional 22-inch wheels for other full-size GM vehicles like the Chevy Silverado and Chevy Tahoe should also return shortly.
