Earlier this month, GM Authority brought you exclusive photos of the first 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing to roll off the production line at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. We can now perform a similar service for this year’s other new Cadillac Blackwing model – the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing.
This example of the ultra-high-performance luxury sedan is painted in Summit White – one of two standard exterior colors for the vehicle, the other being Black Raven. It’s pictured here alongside a CT5-V Blackwing.
The CT4-V Blackwing also features the optional Carbon Fiber 2 Package, which costs $2,650, but it must be ordered along with the Carbon Fiber 1 Package, which is priced at $4,350. The total cost is therefore $7,000.
Carbon Fiber 1 Package content:
- Carbon Fiber front splitter
- Carbon Fiber front wheel well deflectors
- Carbon Fiber front dive plates
- Carbon Fiber rear extra aero spoiler
Carbon Fiber 2 Package content:
- Carbon Fiber rocker moldings
- Carbon Fiber rocker extensions
- Carbon Fiber rear valance diffuser insert
Assuming no other optional equipment is included, a Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in this specification would normally cost $66,990 including destination freight charge. However, this specific vehicle cost a lot more than that, and may in fact be the most expensive car of its type that will ever be sold.
That’s because, in March of this year, both this vehicle and the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing VIN 001 were auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event – or, to be more specific, the rights were auctioned, since the cars did not yet exist. The CT4-V Blackwing fetched $165,000, all of which went to the Black Ambition initiative.
The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing went into production on July 7th, only two days behind schedule despite fears that there might have been a longer delay. It is powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 engine, which is rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, and can be paired with either the standard six-speed manual gearbox supplied by Tremec or the optional GM Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic. If fitted with the automatic transmission, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and continue to a top speed of 189 mph.

Nice photos! It looks like they included Body Shop, Paint Shop, and General Assembly groups.
🤨This should be available in Europe!!!!!😡
Should be a hot seller in the urban Black and Latinix target markets. Would love to see this overtake Asian luxury brands. Bentley’s are still huge head turners for Black and Latinix luxury vehicle owners.
“Latinix?”
I love Latina XXX
Those stupid masks. Every corporate photo op has become political promotion and normalization of global medical tyranny
My sentiments exactly
Wearing masks is in no way indicative of engineering prowess
No but if you’re in the hospital dying because you didn’t wear a mask too late. Why chance it
