The Bow Tie brand is offering a Chevy Silverado discount totaling up to $4,500 off select 2021 Silverado 1500 models during July 2021. In addition, Chevrolet is offering two separate special financing offers. First is a zero-percent APR offer for 36 months, and second is a combined offer including a $2,000 cash allowance plus 2.49 percent APR for 72 months. The second offer also gives buyers the option to make no monthly payments for the rest of summer, or, in other words, 90 days from the purchase date.
A nationwide lease incentive is also available for 2021 models, allowing shoppers to drive home in a Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT model equipped with a four-wheel drivetrain configuration and the 2.7-liter four-cylinder turbo engine.

The logic behind this engine still baffles me. Why any full size truck manufacturer would think a four cylinder engine would gain any traction in this segment escapes me.
It’s outperformed by the 5.3 in every real world scenario. But at the end of the day, it’s all about turning the EPA dyno rollers.
The 4.3 should have received the turbo treatment and this engine should have been in the Colorado from the start.
I seem to recall reading, perhaps on this very site, that the 4.3 was doomed because of emissions. Downsizing the engine makes a lot of sense for trying to meet those requirements, and they aren’t alone in having a 2.7L in a full size truck.
It should be illegal to have a ”discount”on every window sticker for accepting a base engine,quit playing shell games with pricing,what do they think they are the dept. stores that that always have at least 30% off a shirt and they never sold a single one at 30% more?
That engine must sound like crap when it cancels to 2 cylinders!
Some potential buyers are probably going to holdout for the refreshed Silverado.
