Chevy Bringing Over A Dozen Cars To 2021 SEMA Show

Chevy will bring more than a dozen vehicles to the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, including concepts and performance-enhanced production cars, trucks and SUVs.

Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance and Motorsports, said the vehicles Chevy has lined up for the 2021 SEMA Show are “sure to spark enthusiasts’ imaginations,” featuring the automaker’s latest accessories and performance parts.

The Bow Tie Brand is also eager to present the Chevy SEMA Design Awards at this year’s show, which “recognize elite builders who showcase the most outstanding combinations of innovation, creativity, personalization and performance in their vehicle and product designs.” This year’s Chevy SEMA Design Awards span four categories, including Chevy SEMA Car of the Year, Chevy SEMA Truck of the Year, Innovative Use of Technology and Designer’s Choice.

“It’s always inspiring to be at SEMA where we see many of the country’s top builders take our Chevy products and turn them into personal statements,” said Chevy’s executive director of design, Phil Zak.  “The creativity and craftsmanship displayed in these vehicles is outstanding. Chevrolet’s SEMA Design Awards are our way to recognize the ingenuity, invested time and passion that these builders have for Chevrolet, and it’s a pleasure to award their accomplishments and hear their stories.”

Chevy is encouraging builders to submit their rides for judging in the Chevy SEMA Design Awards via ChevySEMA.com. In order to qualify for an award, the vehicle must have a Chevrolet bow tie emblem somewhere on the front and must feature a Chevy gas or diesel engine. GM electric or non-competitive electric powertrains are also eligible. Additionally, Chevy says participants must submit in-progress photos or renderings of their vehicle, along with photos of the completed build. The deadline for all submissions is October 22nd, 2021.

The 2021 SEMA Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 2nd through to November 5th.
